Greyhound Tips - Monday, December 23
T3 (Clonroosk Sydney) 20:36 Nottingham
No chance last week after bad crowding run up and moving off at the first bend. Prior to that had been recording some good times over 480m at Newcastle.
Newcastle and Nottingham are completely different tracks and I can see why first time up we swung off at the first bend as normally first look dogs tend to do that at the bend. With that run behind us we can show better pace up and run the initial bend better
How I see this evening's race going, we can quickly lead the inside pair granted a better break, T1 very slowly into stride, T2 not known for early pace and we have the measure of T2 on Newcastle form alone. T4 first look here so again will run off at the bend as Monmore again has different bends to Nottingham, T5 and T6 drawn the wrong way round. I'm confident of a big run from us this evening. I personally think we will lead and make all.

T3 (Antigua Kesteral) 21:28 Nottingham
Returns here after some solid and successful runs at Hove, we even broke the 30 second which is flying. We have good form here after being 2nd in the eclipse, and this field isn't up to much tonight and form isn't as strong as us.
How I see this race going, both T1 and T2 are Monmore dogs and can take each others ground early on, yes we are going to have to be on our toes to avoid the inside two at the bend, our middle pace is really good and finish really strongly so I wouldn't be too concerned if we don't lead as we can pick the pieces up late.
Of course, I want us to lead and be out of the way of any potential trouble. Danger in this is if we get held up or get into trouble, in a clean run race we are at least 5-6 lengths clear of these.

T5 (Ballinabola Bill) 21:46 Nottingham
Knocked out of the notional sprint at the semi-final stage last week but tonight returns for a one-off open race, is plotted up on T5 too. Been noted moving more middle than wide here so will appreciate this move into T5
How I see this race going, race revolves around T4, one of the tightest railers going so a draw this far out spells trouble for the inside runners as straight away out the traps will bore over to the rails, massive gap for us to exploit up the middle and granted that clear run can turn handy and stay on strongly to win, both 305m runs here so far have had loads of trouble. You will see a better dog with that clear run tonight. Bet of the day for me.
