Greyhounds Tips - Monday, March 17
20:01 Nottingham - Romeo Alliance (T2) @ SP
Debut tonight but has run some good trials both here over the course and distance in Towcester over the sprint trip. Concerning today’s runners, the times are competitive, and I feel we have been given a golden opportunity to open our account with a victory
How I see the race playing out: T1 is a solid local but trapping has been an issue and usually misses the break. Did come away latest but that is a rare occurrence, and I feel we lead the inside early. T3 is an average grader at Monmore and will struggle in this line-up.
T4 is our main danger if we don't run well, improving all the time and recently ran a PB in a trial so is getting better with each run.
T5 is not quick enough in this to compete more known as a stayer while T6 is a completely unknown Towcester sprinter, has never been here, and runs middle in races so could cause crowding in the run-up. I see us setting the early pace in this and going on to win well.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
21:04 Yarmouth - Crypto Jackpot (T1) @ SP
Better drawn tonight to avoid the early crowding that ended our race two runs back. We desperately need a rails draw and we have that this evening; we are solid in this grade and nothing will be finishing better than us, so we have a very good chance.
How I see the race panning out: T2 will edge off out the traps and will put the pace to the race but that will mean we get a clear run to be able to follow T2 round and prove too strong off the last, but the fact T2 is in the race is perfect for us.
T3 is again edging off as drawn and will cause crowding on the run-up. T4 is the sprinting type who will be battling with T2 for the early lead but they can cut each other’s throats and we can pick the pieces up.
T5 is outgraded and not running well while T6 has been off for a long time so a watching brief is advised; didn't run well latest either. Regardless, I feel we have a solid chance.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
