Monday Greyhound Tips: Annie to be OK in Doncaster

Our resident Greyhound guru Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle) kicks off a brand new week with three betting tips from across the UK's meetings. He's drawn north to the action taking place in Doncaster.

1 pt 15:22 Doncaster – Fast And Fierce (T1) @ SP

Three from Doncaster this afternoon on a competitive card. At 15:22 in the B3 graded race over the four-bend 450-metre trip, look out for the Debbie Calvert-trained youngster FAST AND FIERCE from T1.

The October 2024 son of Good Cody caught the eye last time out, winning in impressive fashion over course and distance recording 28.25 following a 2.32 sectional.

A repeat of that would give Fast And Fierce every chance, and with further improvement likely from the youngster, he looks a solid play this afternoon. Redbrick Gerrard (T4) is a consistent Doncaster performer with a four from thirteen record in the grade and rates as the main danger. Hes Got Style (T6) is another with claims.

1 pt 16:37 Doncaster – Deerjet Rocket (T2) @ SP

The A1 graded race at 16:37 over the four-bend 483-metre trip can go to well-drawn railer DEERJET ROCKET in T2. A vacant box in T1 strengthens claims and, with a level break, the August 2023 son of Run Happy can turn with the pace and hit the front by the third bend.

The key to the race is the break, it's imperative that Deerjet Rocket holds the rails and turns within striking distance. Dannys Flyer (T4) looks the likely leader and has claims with a ping break.

Bombay Fantasy (T5) will be staying on well and looks a solid forecast mixer in the race. Another worth considering as a forecast selection is wide seed Foxwood Carter from T6.

1 pt 17:29 Doncaster – Sandwood Annie (T3) @ SP

The third and final selection from Doncaster is SANDWOOD ANNIE, who runs from T3 in the D3 graded sprint at 17:29 over the two-bend 275-metre trip.

In recent months, Annie has been better known as a four-bend performer with plenty of A3 wins on her card, but if you go back to early 2026, Annie was on a roll with four wins on the bounce over this course and distance, including three in D2 company.

This D3 graded race looks a good opportunity for Annie to get back to winning ways and, with a level break, her natural early pace can see her lead round and, once on the bunny, it should be all over bar the shouting.

Honey Bobby (T2) is a consistent runner in D2 and D3 grade and rates as the main danger. Another with a chance of going close is Ballymac Tingle. The well-drawn wide seed has a four from seven record in D3 grade and is likely to prove popular in the market.
