Monday Greyhounds Tips: Five-star chances at Nottingham this evening

T5 (Clona Stand) 20:36 Nottingham @ SP

We are plotted up out wide this evening with the best draw of the entire day. Really good open race form and last time here we landed a sprint over the 305m trip and we went away at the finish to win well.

This step up to 480m looks ideal.

How I see this evening's race going - T1 is a Perry Barr raider, first time here, and will move off at the bend like all runners do when first encountering this venue. T2 is a danger to us but will be edging left at trap rise and will crowd with the other inside runner. If absolutely pinging and getting clear this rival could end up giving us a race.

T3 is back from a lay off and is normally a standing dish here but with being absent and drawn further out from the rails than he is used to, will crowd with T2 on the run-up and spoil its chance.

T4 - again another bang railer will be heading across and crowd with dogs on the inside - that leaves us and acres of space on the outside. This will be like a solo trial and we can go on to stretch clear and win this with ease. Max bet for me!

T5 (Crafty Kaboom) 21:28 Nottingham @ SP

Steps back in trip this evening after having a couple of runs over the four-bend trip. Noted staying on strongly on each event, last time over this trip was very impressive and strong, and won going away in a quick time.

As drawn this evening T5 can come through late to win this.

How I see the race going - T1 has a first try over this trip and is normally slowly away but what I watched on replays was that he didn't look strong at the end of the 500m races so will struggle to get competitive in this.

T2 is one I had last week and held every chance before only going down by under a length. As this race is harder I've looked elsewhere tonight.

T3 is better drawn closer to the rails and will come through late but may be too far behind to get into this. T4 was a winner last week, but is drawn further out than ideal tonight and will crowd with runners on its inside.

Back to us - we can keep ourselves out of trouble being the only wide seed and can come through by the fifth bend to record another win over course and distance. Confident choice.
