Monday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line back with two selections

Our resident Greyhounds tipster Trap2Line is back this Monday with a couple of selections, one from Nottingham and one from Yarmouth. 

Read on to see if he can kick off the week with a winner. 

20:54 Nottingham - Outdoor Yankee (T2) @ SP

We step back down to a shorter four-bend trip than we are used to. The key to this race will boil down to track experience and this one off open will find runners that haven't had a look here out, as this is a hard track to run first time out and runners have a tendency to run off at the first and third bend without a look. We have tremendous course form in the context of this race and that will prove crucial.

How I see the race being run - T1 is a slow to stride sprinter that has been kept to two bends recently but looking at back form has been over this far with mixed results, key to our race will be leading this one up. T3 is a Monmore raider who has never been here, also been off the track for a few weeks after a fall so this is a pass from me on those two reasons alone. 

T4, again a Monmore raider did run here last week but race was over at first bend with trouble, unsure how he would've fared with a clean run, Monmore form is ok but nothing special. T5 is a Sheffield raider that won on debut last week, but it was a slow time and will edge off into T6 at first bend tonight, potentially ruining both their chances.

T6 of course is the main danger but I feel the antics of T5 could hamper his chances, if clearing on the outside will give us more to think about. Back to us, if we lead T1 up we have an exceptional opportunity due to T3 moving off and we will have lots of room round the first few bends to close and challenge leaders, we are strong late so anywhere near the lead at final two bends I feel the race is ours to lose. Confident pick.

21:04 Yarmouth - Airforce Jackpot (T4) @ SP 

A regular for us, we put her up at Towcester last week and early crowding put paid to our chances. We return to our home track today and have a great chance to get back to winning ways in what I see as a match with us and T5.

How I see the race being run - T2 was a winner in A4 last week and last time he ran over this trip was challenging for the lead when blocked at the bend so you can put a line through that run. I can't really see him getting involved tonight with the level of the others runners in this race. 

T3 revaluation the last few weeks winning on six-bend debut and then pitched in the deep end in an open race where she ran really well, looking back at her staying form at Shelbourne that ties in with us, but we have 7-8 lengths advantage on her just in Shelbourne form alone. T5 is the main danger to us as it is in fantastic form winning over both four and six bends, really impressive last week when stopping the clock at 27.60 for the four-bend trip which is flying.

Could give us the most to think about. T6 is another runner that mixes four and six bend races, does have good early pace and can give T5 lots to think about rounding the first two bends, I feel they will ruin each other's chances here and we can come through late and pick up the pieces. Strong selection.
