Monday Greyhound Tips: Berry Berry good tips from Doncaster

1 pt 15:03 Doncaster – Shackelton Ace (T6) @ SP

Three from Doncaster this afternoon on an ultra-competitive all-graded card. At 15:03 look out for SHACKELTON ACE who lines up from T6 in the two-bend D1 graded sprint over the 275-metre trip. The August 2023 son of Serene Ace has an impressive seven from twelve record in the grade and if the Susan Watson-trained performer gets it right at the boxes, he can win again. As ever, in a graded sprint, the break and run into the first bend will prove vital. It's imperative that Shackelton Ace pings the lids and goes round a couple clear of the chasing pack.

Lightly raced youngster Grouchos Davy rates as the main danger from T1. The September 2024 pup has moved through the grades in recent weeks and would be a huge runner with a level break. Grouchos Maverik is worth noting in the market from T3. An open race winning in 16.87 three weeks ago, the youngster is another with live claims.

1 pt 16:18 Doncaster – Aghaburren Milly (T1) @ SP

The A2 graded race at 16:18 over the four-bend 483-metre trip can go to well-drawn railer AGHABURREN MILLY from T1. The Debbie Calvert-trained February 2023 daughter of Magic Sprite is in fine form with two wins on the bounce in as many weeks over the 450-metre trip at Doncaster. On both occasions, Milly led round and made all in impressive fashion.

Today, Milly steps up slightly in trip, but that shouldn’t be an issue, especially if she leads round and kicks clear down the back straight. Canageo (T3) starts and stays, she would be a major player granted a clear run. Another who could go well is solo wide seed Stoneparkfortune in T6. The consistent A2 performer could turn handy and would be a danger to the selection if within striking distance at the third bend.

1 pt 16:37 Doncaster – Good Berry (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection from Doncaster this afternoon is GOOD BERRY, who runs from T1 in the B5 graded race at 16:37 over the four-bend 450-metre trip. Good Berry has recently returned to action following a spell off the track. Three runs, including two over this course and distance, would have blown away the cobwebs and the James Gaskin-trained railer should be spot on now and ready to win.

Prior to the layoff, Good Berry was running well in B3 and B4 grades, so this represents an ease in company. She will prove hard to beat this afternoon if she's back to peak fitness. September 2024 youngster Pulleen Princess (T2) can chase the selection home and fill the forecast spot. Moss Tang Sally (T5) is another who could go well and is worth considering as a forecast mixer at a price.
