T4 (Strike It Belle) 19:08 Sunderland @ SP
Winning English debut last week in A3 grade. Was well on top at the line, did also get crowded at the first bend so you can upgrade that performance a little. Steps up to A2 company for the first time this evening but, looking at others' form, has an exceptional chance to go 2 for 2.
T1 breaks well but has little pace to the bend so could get swallowed up as they go to the first. Does come home well so I wouldn't want this one turning a clean second on our shoulder.
T2 relatively new pup to the track, consistent in two A2 runs after winning her A3. I just see trouble looming for this runner on the run up and at the first bend. T3 the potential leader in this looking at split times. That can draw us out the traps next to her. A record of one out of 10 doesn't instill any confidence and I feel more like T3 sets the race up for us.
T5 was off the track for a couple of months before last week. Returned but ran very poorly finishing a tailed-off last. I would rather wait to see this runner return to form as looking back, they do have some solid form prior to layoff.
T6 is a danger to us as they have been pitched in at the deep end in strong open races and A1 races here. Easiest race she has faced for a while and if we underperform, this one will pick up the pieces.
So back to us, if we repeat last weeks break we can turn next too or just behind T3, our middle pace can bring us to the front and we can win this going away with T6 staying in into second place.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
T1 (Isthatmyfella) 19:11 Romford @ SP
We are very consistent and have only been out of the first three once in the last 10 runs. Here we have a really good race make up this evening and will be looking to turn the tables on T5, who has beaten us the last twice. Visually we were very unlucky last time out, with what looked like a winning run only to stopped in our tracks at the second bend.
T2 is back on the card for the first time since January. Will no doubt need this as their trials since returning haven't been that great. It's imperative that we gain first run on this competitor, but we are both race fit and drawn inside so I do see us doing that.
No T3. T4 has mixed both two and four bend races here and at Towcester with a varying success. Will be edging over from T4 as normally runs closer to the rails. With no dog inside that will help. However, their times aren't that competitive when you look at remainder of the field.
T5 currently on a three-timer. This runner has been breaking the bars down at trap rise and showing exceptional early pace to lead the last three runs. That's what you need in a sprint. I do feel we would've picked her up last week if we hadn't been stopped so I see us reversing that tonight. 100% this runner is still our danger.
T6 is a dangerous runner when coming away but I can't see him pacing up past T5 and they could come together at the bend. So back to us, rails pitch will help us pace up, we can turn handy and go on off the last to win well. Confident choice.
