Today's Greyhound Odds

Greyhound Tips - Friday, June 27

  • T3 (Chelms Chloe) 19:44 Romford @ SP
  • T1 (Platinumheatwave) 19:56 Nottingham @ SP

T3 (Chelms Chloe) 19:44 Romford @ SP

Debut tonight for this very expensive Irish purchase from Cork; has had three trials on these shores and shown exceptional pace in each, very quick sprint trial at Towcester, and left a length or so here last week but still recorded 24 seconds dead.

In the context of this race and the fact we will come on for that run it's our race to lose tonight.

How I see the race panning out - T1 is a slow-to-stride railer that has gone off 33/1 on the last three occasions, won't be able to lay up with the early pace tonight, and I can't for the life of me see this one getting involved.

T2 is a true middle runner so it's important that we come away next to this one. Overall form is consistent but that is against A3/A4 graded dogs and this is a completely different kettle of fish tonight. Like the T1 runner, might just be outclassed.

T4 (Towcester sprinter) hasn't really taken off on her visits here, will need to improve significantly to get involved, and in fact over the sprint trip at Towcester we are over six lengths quicker on times alone so I expect that form to be upheld tonight.

T5 - again another graded runner, will edge in as drawn on the run-up nowhere near where he needs to be, and with spilt times as they are won't challenge us early.

No T6

So to us - this is as much of a good thing as there can be in my view, we are chucked in here but will still need to trap well. I do see us making all and I do think that we will be smashed off the boards.

I make this a max chance. Very confident.

T1 (Platinumheatwave) 19:56 Nottingham @ SP

We return to A3 company this evening  after a spin in a 480m Open race last week. This is much more to our liking even though this distance is as far as we want to go. We have an excellent opportunity to turn the first bend handy and just about last home.

How I see this A3 race being run - T2 has a lot of really quick back form but that was at the end of last year. Since then has been in and off the card, had one race in A2 and then quickly dropped to this level. Will need to improve on current form to figure this evening.

T3 returns after a month off,  prior to the lay-off was in consistent form and running well each time she went to the traps. Will probably need this after being off and will improve after today's contest, but not for me this evening.

T4 - similar comments to both T2 and T3, on and off the card, didn't run very well in a higher grade a few weeks ago and I will wait until this one returns to form. Was running well in February and March but that was then, and tonight the frailties will show especially towards the end of the race.

T5 won the last twice showing better early that I hadn't seen before, but is not sure to repeat those split times and tonight not certain to lead but at least is in form. End times for me will be a little behind us in T1 but this one has to be our danger on form lines alone.

T6, a non-runner two weeks ago and trialled back last week over the two-bend trip, is not quick enough this evening to land a blow in this company and saves his best runs and times for the A4 grade.

So to us in T1 -with the benefit of full race fitness and a class edge along with a good draw on the fence and an excellent race make-up, we can turn handy on the inner, use our middle pace to go clear and have enough in the tank to hold on close home.

Bet of the day for me.
