Greyhounds Tips - Friday, December 27
19:11 Romford - Untold Paanga (T3) @ SP
Improved performer in recent weeks at Crayford, dipping under the 34-second barrier the last twice when winning over the 540m trip in a couple of decent open races. Returns here and does have excellent back form over course and distance in August, recording 35.22 which if we can repeat that time tonight there will be only one winner.
How I see this race panning out: T1 returns to the track after a long time on the sidelines so will be better for tonight's run, has been trialling well over four bends though so all seems to be better. T2 has good if not spectacular four-bend form but steps up into the unknown tonight, again had a four-bend trial here last week.
T4 is out in an unfamiliar trap this evening normally a lot closer to the rails so it's imperative we trap in front of her, but on recent form, we can. T5 is a solid local who always runs his race but tonight will be just making up the numbers as finishing times aren't up to the rest of the field, if it were to be a messy/troubled race you could see him coming through late.
T6 Yarmouth raider having first run here, and also stepping up to 575m for the first time, Yarmouth dogs do tend to run Romford really well so I will be keeping my eyes drawn to T6 as traps rise. But I do see us in T3 pacing up and going clear for the win.

19:56 Nottingham - Skywalker Isak (T6) @ SP
Formerly a very smart open race tracker but has moved here to Nottingham in the last year and we have been plying our trade in A2/A3 races.
Tonight I feel we have the perfect makeup to do some damage to this field early on. All the other runners are slowly away normally and our initial splits can take us to the bend in front, if we do get round in front we should power on and kick away from the field. The danger, of course, is the in-form runner in T2 who has been winning races in higher grade for fun and sometimes comes away but that isn't very regular, T2 is very strong late on so we want to be clear of that runner by the second bend. All I see tonight is trapping in front and staying there.

22:04 Newcastle - My Own Theory (T4) @ SP
Tonight we step back up in trip after a spell over four bends running in handicaps and decent top grade A1/A2 races. I was always taught from a young age that when you have got a lot of novice stayers stepping up in trip, you should always look at their four-bend form and use that as a guide. So looking at this race you have a lot of basically A3 dogs against us, an A1 performer.
How should this race pan out this evening: last time we raced over this trip we had a troubled run back on July 25 crowding the first bend and never nearer after. Looking at this field today and four-bend splits, it looks set up for us to lead these clear at the bend, and once in the clear we can stretch on. Our only potential danger is if T2 pops out and goes on as T2 was in a similar race a few weeks back but has been off the card since. I'm confident of a decent showing for us either way.
