Friday Greyhound Tips: Jim’s your buddy at the Romford racing

1 pt 19:33 Romford – Jims Buddy (T1) @ SP

All eyes on the London Road circuit Romford this evening for a competitive card featuring eight open races. At 19:33, look out for JIMS BUDDY who lines up from T1 in the Don’t Forget Pick Six Jackpot Tickets Maiden open race over the four-bend 400-metre trip. The Paul Young-trained railer caught the eye on debut last week when finishing second over course and distance.

Tonight, the September 2024 son of King Sheeran, looks well-drawn to lead round and make all. On the bunny, Jims Buddy is open to plenty of improvement, and he will prove hard to beat. Coras Pearl (T3) has shown early pace in recent weeks but has struggled to get a clear run at the first bend. The Towcester raider would be a danger to all granted a clear run. Flitwick Benji is drawn wider than normal out in T6 but has a chance with a ping break.

1 pt 20:13 Romford – Honey Dazzler (T1) @ SP

The RGOA Maiden Stayers open race at 20:13 over the six-bend 575-metre trip can go to Yarmouth raider HONEY DAZZLER from T1. The Craig Morris-trained railer looks well-drawn to hold his pitch into the corner and if that happens, he can lead off the second bend and kick for home. Last time out on Romford debut, Honey Dazzler met trouble at the first, second and fifth bends but still finished third and was only beaten just over three lengths.

Tonight, it's all eyes on the boxes, trap well and its race on. Don Cici (T4) is an interesting runner on six-bend debut. The Dave Mullins-trained June 2024 son of Ballyhimikin Jet has caught the eye staying on well over four-bends and will appreciate this step up in trip this evening. Ideal Guest (T5) is a solid four-bend graded performer around Romford and is worth noting in the market on six-bend debut.

1 pt 20:53 Romford – Yahoo Mareike (T3) @ SP

The third and final selection from Romford this evening is the Paul Young-trained flying machine YAHOO MAREIKE who runs from T3 in the Greyhounds Make Great Pets Bitches open race at 20.53 over the four-bend 400-metre trip. In recent weeks, Yahoo Mareike has bolted up recording quick-away-made-all successes over course and distance in 24.03 and 23.96. Tonight, going for a hat-trick of wins, the April 2023 daughter of Malachi looks well-drawn to lead round and, once on the bunny this should be all over bar the shouting.

Bretons Girl (T2) can show nice early pace into the corner, so it's imperative that Yahoo Mareike brings her trapping boots and clears that rival at lid rise. March On Luna (T5) is capable of dipping below 24 seconds over this trip on a going day and would be a danger to all with a ping break. Always Wrighty (T1) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.
