Greyhounds tips with trap2line

Our resident Greyhounds tipster Trap2Line was one from two yesterday but can he go one better today as he has two picks from opposite ends of the country.

Here are his Friday Greyhounds Tips...

Greyhounds Betting Tips - Friday, February 21

  • 18:53 Romford - Nowhere to go (T1) @ SP
  • 21:32 Sunderland - On the nose (T4) @ SP

18:53 Romford - Nowhere to go (T1) @ SP

This dog has been off since September, when it last contested the East Anglia derby. Recently, it's been trialling over the sprint trip at Swindon and also four bends here, getting ready for returning to racing and tonight looks an ideal opportunity for it to pick up where they left off before the lay off.

How I see tonight's race going: T2 is key to our chances, again another that is having his first run here and is an out and out sprinter who has run some good times in practice but has never raced here previously. Dogs that haven't seen Romford tend to run off at the first bend, so being drawn inside T2 is crucial and we should get a lovely run on the rails throughout, having acres of room as T2 runs off.

T5 has one form line I would be worried about but slow starts are a killer at Romford and with it not being that quick into stride could be involved in the inevitable crowding that is going to happen at the initial bend.

I see once we get around the first bend we could find ourselves in the lead and if that happens we just pull further and further clear to land an impressive return victory.

Romford 18:53 - Winner Nowhere To Go

Odds correct at time of publishing.

21:32 Sunderland - On the nose (T4) @ SP

Returns to the course after a spell away at Newcastle and Pelaw, recording some eye catching runs and wins, especially in the latest outing, when breaking the 15 second barrier over the 245m at Pelaw which is absolutely flying. We have proven track form and have exceptional early pace.

How I see the race panning out this evening: T1 has one run and one win but I didn't like how the dog eased into the first bend with nothing around him on debut.  That sends red flags up for me and if he has dogs in and around him what will he do?

T2 will be edging across into T1's path on the run up and at the first bend as she is a very tight railer, so space will be at a premium in the inside early doors. T3 again brings some Pelaw form here, but not as quick as we showed latest and could struggle as drawn this evening.

T5 will be outgraded here and we (T4) will have to be on our toes early and break well, as T5 will be edging more to the middle due to usually being drawn in T3.  Similar comments here for T6, has never been drawn so far wide, so will be coming in on the run up.

All I see for us is to be too classy for this field and have a trap to line victory.

Sunderland 21:32 - Winner On The Nose
