Friday Greyhound Tips: Shine bright like a Scooby Diamond at Romford

1 pt 20:42 Romford – Scooby Diamond (T4) @ SP

Three from the London Road circuit Romford this evening on an ultra-competitive card featuring action over two, four and six-bends. At 20:42, look out for SCOOBY DIAMOND who lines up from T4 in the Ashwells Retirement Home open race over the four-bend 400-metre trip.

The Nathan Hunt-trained Monmore raider is a class act, as she proved back in September 2025 by winning the Category One Romford Puppy Cup. Last week, over course and distance, Scooby Diamond showed huge back straight pace when winning by six lengths in 23.86.

Tonight, it's all eyes on the break; Yahoo Mareike (T2) and Bacon Burrger (T3) can both show pace into the corner, so it's imperative that Scooby Diamond brings her trapping boots and pings the lids. Zenith Impact (T1) can chase the selection home and fill the forecast spot.

1 pt 21:02 Romford – False Step (T1) @ SP

The Romford Friday Night 500 Maiden final at 21:02 can go to FALSE STEP, who runs from an ideal draw in T1. The Tony Dean-trained railer won in impressive fashion last week over course and distance, clocking 24.21 following a smart 3.75 sectional.

Tonight, with Don Cici (T2) not the quickest into stride, False Step has a chance to hold the rails and if that happens, he will prove hard to beat. Middle seeds Lil Bo Beep (T5) and Bubbly Everest (T6) are both drawn a little wider normal but have chances if they trap in best fashion.

Coras Pearl, trained by John Mullins, is worth noting in the market from T3. The January 2024 daughter of Magical Bale has some smart graded form around Yarmouth and could go close granted a clear run.

1 pt 21:22 Romford – Timeless Times (T6) @ SP

The third and final selection from Romford this evening is TIMELESS TIMES (T6) in the Friday Night 500 Maiden Stayers final over the six-bend 575-metre trip.

Last week in the heats, Timeless Times showed nice middle gears to challenge but was caught late on by Mystical Batman who lines up from T4 this evening. Well-drawn as the solo wide seed in the race, this is all about taking advantage of that draw and skipping clear of the chasing pack.

If the Jamie Kingsley-trained February 2023 son of Ballymac Bolger gets it right at the boxes, he can take this and win over six-bends for the first time. Mystical Batman (T4) rates as a huge danger, we don’t want that rival within striking distance. Ballymac Suntan (T2) is another who will be staying on well looking to hit the front late on, along with Monmore raider Kilwest Beauty from T5.
