Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Diva delight in Monmore while Newcastle is light on it’s feet

Newcastle is the place and while PJ cannae see, man, our resident greyhounds tipster most certainly can. Trap2Line is here to keep order like Geoff over a particularly canine Byker Grove. As well as the North East stronghold that sways to Messrs Shearer, Fender and Donnelly, Trap2Line has also run the rule over the Monmore line-up.

12:51 Newcastle - T6 (Lightfoot Kavar) @ SP

Something a bit different for a Tuesday morning. An inter-track race against Sunderland. In these inter-track contests I side with any home dogs as I think track knowledge is key and today will be no exception.

T1  this runner was based here last year up to this January, so I took that into account when I was going through form. Since running at Sunderland has kept good company. Not so good last three runs really and gone off at big prices for each. I don't see this runner landing a blow today. 

T2 is a very slow to stride Sunderland runner. Has had one spin here and ran well at 10/1. Will need to trap better than usual or will have a troubled passage today. 

T3 is the final Sunderland challenger. Will be darting for the rails as soon as the traps open. Once they do he could crowd with his other track competitors and that will ruin each of their chances. Not for me.

T4 recently blitzed an A8 field and as a result has been raised two grades by grader. Previously only running averagely in the A7 grade so this A6 may be a step too far.

T5 our main danger as drawn, this ex Irish runner has had two races here, winning one and looked good with bags of early pace. We need to track clever to follow this one around and prove too strong off the last bend.

So to us in T6, we have a good draw to track our main danger in T5, overall we are stronger late on in contests but the T5 runner brings potential, either way it will be an excellent race and I just see us coming out on top where is matters. Strong selection.

3:27 Monmore - T1 (I'm A Diva) @ SP

We were recently downgraded to this A5 grade after spending a lot of time in the higher A4 grade. Last time out we were visually unlucky not to win as we were hampered at the 3rd bend when making headway, this is a similar contest and todays make up suits us.

T2 has better early pace than we do so will provide us with a good running lane. We can tuck in behind this runner and come through late. We have six lengths in hand on last week's form alone so can come through before third bend to challenge leaders.  

T3 has run at big prices since upped to this grade from A6. No real show and will probably get better if grader moves her back down to A6. Today I can't see her being involved.

T4 has similar early pace to T2 and can be prominent early on in this afternoon's race. Will need to improve on overall times to figure but she has improved from A10 up to this A5 grade since coming on to the card.

T5 is another prominent racer coming up the grades. Well fancied the last twice and duly landed an A7 and A6. Record in this grade isn't so good at three from 19. With other early paced types in T2 and T4, I can see each of them getting in the each other'ss way at some point and crowding is inevitable.

T6 is slow to go and will do well to avoid T5 on the run up as that runner will be edging off a true line. Maybe crowded wider than normal at first bend with the three leaders swinging off and I can't see this one getting a clear run. 

So back to us in T1, good draw on the rails to track the early pace and then we can slowly move up to leaders by 3rd bend as long as we gain a clear run at that point I can see us taking the race up and win going away with a strong finish. Confident choice.
