Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Trap2Line runs the rule over Romford’s runners

Our resident greyhound guru Trap2Line is back this fine Tuesday to provide his daily dose of tips from the track. Romford is his focus today as he offers up a brace of bets from the evening's card.

16:16 Romford - T6 (Comeintomyoffice) @ SP

Yarmouth raider who has just moved here. We have had one trial and two races, winning one and running well in the other. Back down in grade today and we are the only participant in the race that is consistently running under the 25 second mark for the 400m. We have achieved that in each of our three races, whereas the other runners in the field seems to struggle to do the same.

T1: Plummeting down the grades A7 to A8 and now A9. Even had races over the six-bend trip. Last four runs have been 5/6/5/5 and double figure prices for each.  Woefully out of form and very slow starts aren't helping. Will be a big price today in this race with this make up. Pass.

T2: Vacant 

T3: Better expected on the back of this one's trials and could rate a danger to us today. Ex-Clonmel runner who has yet to trouble the judge in three runs. Big prices for each and not really landed a blow. But has potential if they can reproduce those trial times. Will that be today? Unsure. However this isn't the strongest of A9s so could run well at a price.

T4: At trio of sixth-place finishes before having two months off. Trial back was okay but nothing special. Is a little way off us in regards to times so I can't see this bitch being fully wound up for her first run back. Will come on for this run today and be stronger going forward in the next couple of weeks.

T5: Won an A10 when last seen over this trip. Normally a six-bend runner. Really slow to break and is going to give us lots of room and space on the run up if again coming away slowly. If we get crowded at any point nothing in the field will be finishing stronger than this runner. 

So to us in T6, all the boxes are ticked for a great run. Grade, trap, race make up, overall times and form all get a big tick from me. I do think this runner will break well and make all and win by multiple lengths. Very confident choice.

15:57 Romford -T1 (Tip Top Katie) @ SP

We have recently come back into the card after season and looking at season dates that puts up spot on the 16 weeks it takes for bitches to regain full fitness, we have raced in trials and 2 A12 races since return and have been getting stronger and stronger each run and we have so many things going for us this afternoon 

T2: Vacant 

T3: Is our main danger due to her overall consistent times posted in the grade. However will give us acres of room on the inside by moving more middle-to-wide on the run-up. Could come together with both T4 and T5 doing this, spoiling each other's chances.

T4: Better trials than races so far for this pup but that can change anytime as puppies are sometimes unpredictable. Can find chunks of time from nowhere, I don't think that will be today and could struggle to clear T3 on her inside.

T5: Recently dropped to the basement grade from A11s. Has dropped the odd good time for the grade since coming onto the card in May. Has won a race before which is a bonus. Today may be prominent round the first two bends but our middle pace in T1 can quickly take over. If we get held up at all though this runner may pick the pieces up at a price.

T6: Double figure prices the last 4 races and slow starts have proved costly. Similar race today and I think this runner won't get involved and again will go off the outsider.

So back to us in T1. Peach of a draw on the rails, good early pace, getting stronger each run back from season. T3 will edge off and T2 is vacant so we have lots of space on the rails to pace up. Rail T5 off at first bend, kick on down the back and have enough left to hold on on the run in. Very confident selection.
