17:49 Romford T5 (Crafty Fritto) @ SP

We came back onto the card last week for our first run since May. We will come on for that and today have a plum draw being the only wide seed. Our back form is good and we went off favourite for an open race back in April. This is a big step down in class to A3 and we can make that tell this afternoon with an eye-catching win.

How I see this A3 being run:

T1 - Very slow into stride, has a really good draw on the rails but the slow starts are proving costly and today I can't see this runner getting a run. Was a big price last week for a similar contest and I see the same again this afternoon.

T2 - Yo-yos from A3 to A2 and back to A3, pops up now and again should lead the inside but overall times I can't see being a danger to the outside runners.

T3 - Really wants the rails and will be coming across on the run up, could hamper and ruin both T1 and T2 chances in the early stages, form is good in top grade and dropped to this level for the first time this afternoon.

T4 - Consistent runner in grade and does have his trap, 50% strike rate in the grade and that bodes well today, another runner dropping down from A2, and if we don't perform I can see this runner doing the business.

T6 - Vacant.

So to us in T5, we will have the wide outside to ourselves, we have early pace but also stay on strongly, I think we turn handy (if not lead) and then will be too strong in the second half of the contest. Solid selection.

19:49 Swindon - T1 (Droopys Aladdin) @ SP

We have a good draw on the rails for this one-off open here tonight, first time we have been back here since the March 18 trial when we flew round from the sprint boxes recording a very fast 15.13. At least we know we like the track and boxes and tonight’s make-up is perfect for us to make all.

How I see the race panning out:

T2 - Massive danger if you cross reference valley form with us, this runner is probably the fastest and most consistent runner at the track, some might say 'track champion' ventures here tonight without a look and that fact alone could be the difference. Not noted for early pace so I can't see this one leading us on the run-up and will have to come from the back to get involved but if taking to this track then may have a big say in this.

T3 - Very consistent and won really well last week when making all, I can't see this one leading us and if she doesn't she will find it hard to win this.

T4 - More a six-bend runner than a four-bend runner nowadays, seems to get outpaced over four bends and comes home strongly, if this race is held up at any point this strong runner may have a say off the last bend.

T5 - Pops up now and again here, not blessed with blistering trapping speed but does have early pace when he gets going. I feel this race is a bit too competitive and I personally think he will struggle.

T6 - Different draw to contend with this evening, has in fact moved out from the one box to this outside draw in six. I still feel this one will edge to the middle on the run-up and that can cause crowding for T5 and T4 so may ruin the outside runners’ chances early on in this contest.

So to us in T1 - We have an ideal launchpad to lead up the inner being drawn next to a slow starter, we can control this race from the front, go clear with our middle pace down the far side and have enough in the tank to hold on close home. Excellent chance and solid selection.
