20:36 Newcastle T4 (Clona Ice) @ SP
First English run tonight from Shelbourne. This stayer has been in against some of the best and quickest six-bend performers in Ireland. To me this represents a step down in grade a tad tonight. Our danger, of course, is T2 who is likely to go off odds on.
T1: Consistent and steps up in trip tonight. No six-bend form to go on but does have some solid four-bend form. Could hold T2 up and crowd with that runner at the first bend as they both have similar early spilt times.
T2: 100% will be vying for favouritism tonight. Even though he won at Monmore last week the end time was not that quick in comparison to other breaking at 38 seconds. Has won here and trialled well so is a massive danger to us.
T3: Bang railer who again will come across T2 on the run up. Has six-bend form at Pelaw and Romford and it's not too bad to be fair. Can cause inside crowding from the start and that just adds to our cause. More positives for us.
T5: Has some decent six-bend form here but that was in late 2023. Recently kept to the four-bend trip here. Unsure if she retains that six-bend ability but we will see tonight. We are drawn inside this runner and can get first run.
T6: Average trial last week does have some sub-29 second runs over the 480m trip. May have the outside to himself this evening but the class of dogs he faces is far superior than the ones he has been up against. Likely to go off the outsider for tonights contest.
So to us in Trap 4. Debuted in March and won by 13 1/2 lengths at Limerick. That made people sit up and take note. Hasn't added to that tally yet but has some good races and solid times in defeat over the 686m trip.
Perfect distance and improved on trial last week. Hoping that we continue that upward curve and we can lane this open race before going on to better things. I see us turning handy, missing inside trouble and staying on strongly in the second half of race. I'm very confident, make this runner my bet of the day.

20:01 Newcastle - T4 (Jacktavern Chief) @ SP
Unlucky to be knocked out at the semi final stage of the recent competition here, when badly missing the break over this course and distance. Nothing like that calibre of dog in this race tonight and we can stamp out class with a trap to line victory.
T1: Good draw but overall form is poor in the context of this race tonight. Will struggle and is likely to go off one of the outsiders.
T2: Comes out of the traps quickly every so often but you can't rely on that happening. Misses the break more than being quickly away. I can't see this one being involved tonight.
T3: Really wants the rails so will be moving across on the run up which gives us lots of room to pace up. If this one did somehow lead we could struggle to reel this one in.
T5: Form pretty poor at numerous venues, if we run to form I can't see this runner getting within 3-4 lengths of us.
T6: A few good times and decent form here, rates as our main danger on the outside. If we get held up or crowded this one stays strongly. Could pick us up off the last of the race had lots of trouble in it.
So to us in T4, all I see is a quick start. Early pace to clear the field at the bend and pull right away for a multiple length victory. Strong chance.
