T5 (Saleen Ri) 18:53 Newcastle @ SP

Debut for us this evening but I have heard and seen good things in trials. Tonight's contest isn't that strong form wise. We can start our racing career with an impressive win while recording a PB in the process.

T1 is a slow into stride A2 grader who will struggle if not improving split times. There are some fast hounds in this race and if he comes away normally there will be a wall of dogs in his way at the bend and that will lead to inevitable crowding.

T2 was very quickly away latest and that lead to a very fast PB run. Not that quick away normally but a repeat of last week's split time will put this runner right there.

T3 is a pretty new pup to the track. Had a troubled run last week and is better than the bare form. Could be a runner at what will be a big price tonight if gaining a clear run.

T4 is vacant and that will be massive for our chances.

T6 has won their last three races which is great, but times have been average at best. Looking at our times compared to this runner we are a few lengths quicker.

So to us in T5, good draw between a slow starter and a very wide runner. What also helps is there a vacant trap on our inside. We have shown good all-round pace in practice. Looking at this race I personally see a quick start. Lead by bend one and pull right away. Confident choice.

T6 (Bowmere Wildcat) 19:49 Hove @ SP

Very unlucky last week when stumbling out of the traps. Still ran a fine race to come second, even with extra crowding forcing them wide at the first bend. Tonight's make up will suit us and we are set for a solo out wide.

T1's last three runs have been really good and this dog has impressed me on time figures alone. Has got a good draw on the rails and if we don't come away or get held up this runner can take advantage this evening.

T2 is returning from an absence tonight. Only had two trials since June and they were only okay. Prior to lay-off was running well and if coming back in similar vein could be involved in tonight's finish. Personally I don't see that, though.

T3 has been crying out for the rails and will edge across as drawn. Running well at Romford prior to short lay-off. Not had the best form here and really wants further. The facts of poor draw and poor course form mean I am going to leave this runner out.

T4 terrible draw for a railer and this will make our race. What I expect this runner will do on the run up, by turning left and cannoning into the inside runners, should leave the way open for us to gain a clear run.

T5 vacant

So to us in T6, everything going for us this evening. Perfect draw, no other words in opposition and the fact we can avoid all the inside crowding. We can't stumble at the traps like last week. With a normal get away we can come round the field by second bend and kick away. Max bet for me.
