Sunday Greyhounds Tips: Three selections from Hove

1 pt 15:01 Hove – Montalto Runner (T4) @ SP

Three from the Nevill Road circuit Hove this afternoon on a competitive all graded card at the south coast venue. At 15:01 look out for former Towcester-based greyhound MONTALTO RUNNER, who lines up from T4 in the A7 graded race over the four-bend 500-metre trip. The December 2023 daughter of Malachi has run well in A5 and A6 class of late but struggled to get her head in front.

The Racing Manager eases Montalto Runner into A7 company for the first time this afternoon, and it's a drop in grade she will appreciate. The key to this race will be the break and run into the first bend, if Montalto Runner traps well and turns within a length or two its race on down the back straight. Imjustararity (T2) is often there or thereabouts at the finish and is worth including in forecast bets.

1 pt 15:57 Hove – Breffni Una (T3) @ SP

The A1 graded race at 15:57 looks competitive with plenty in with live chances. All eyes on the boxes here with Droopys String (T1), Breffni Una (T3) and Clonheena Caelan (T4) all battling it out for early supremacy. Preference is for BREFFNI UNA from T3 to follow up last week's flying 29.49 run following a smart 3.51 sectional. A repeat of that should see the July 2023 daughter of Pestana lead round and make all to record her first victory in top grade action at Hove.

Lightly raced Cloheena Caelan (T4) rates as the main danger. The October 2024 youngster has flown through the grades in recent weeks and looks like a smart prospect for the Seamus Cahill kennel. Solo wide seed Seomra Hachi enters calculations based on a plot draw. He could be worth including in forecast bets.

1 pt 16:34 Hove – Courty Ivy (T2) @ SP

The third and final selection from Hove is COURTY IVY, who lines up from T2 in the D4 graded sprint over the two-bend 285-metre trip. Ivy was off the trap from late April until early July but has returned in decent form with a second-placed effort and finished third last time out following trouble at the second bend. Today, if Ivy gets it right at the boxes, she can lead round, make all and record her second victory at Hove following a move from Towcester early this year.

Work Her Head (T3) and Third Generation (T4) are both lightly raced and are worth noting in the market. Railer Shes A Judge (T1) could run into a place at decent odds and is worth considering as a forecast mixer in the race.
