Sunday Greyhound Tips: Pelaw and Towcester provide today’s best bets

Below you will find his Sunday Greyhound Tips, which come from the tracks at Pelaw and Towcester.

20:16 Pelaw - T6 (Bombay Fantasy) @ SP

We step up to six bends for the first time tonight, came here for a trial from the actual boxes we will use tonight even though it was a sprint trial we recorded a good time for a stayer and with that course knowledge that can help us land this maiden open. 

How I see this 590m race panning out… 

T1 rates our main danger this evening being drawn on the fence, overall form is ok but nothing special. Has been here for a look but that was over the four-bend bend trip and recorded a grading time not the best of draws either as is more used to coming out of the middle traps, so may edge middle on the run up and first bend which in turn could mean crowding.

T2 Newcastle raider has been over course and distance but I noticed rewatching her run that she stayed tight to the rails so may hamper T1 in doing that and spoiling each other's chances.

T3 another runner that went over the course and distance last week, she went missing off bends one and two last week by Swinging Wife, which was her first look at the track. Will be better-equipped this evening to run the initial bends better. Towcester form is not so great and may struggle.

T4 bang railer some terrible draw and will turn left as traps rise and could crowd with the inside runners, average graded runner over four bends not crying out for this step up and will be a big price tonight.

T5 a few attempts at this trip and further top. No show and not involved in those races and I see a similar picture this evening and will go off at a big price, draw wise moves in the middle so we are going to have acres of space on the outside. 

So to us in T6, a really good draw, should avoid the inside trouble and we can go round handy, been noted staying on over four bends at Doncaster and Newcastle and on four-bend form alone we are best in, I do rate this runner as my bet of the day.

15:49 Towcester - T5 (Bockos Sapphire) @ SP

We come into this afternoons semi final after a really promising first effort over this 500m trip in the first round, no doubt we will come on for that run and have multiple lengths in hand over today's odds on favourite. 

How I see this semi final of the empress stakes being run…

T1 very poor draw and will be edging right as soon as the lids go up as this runner is normally drawn more mid-to-wide, so there will be crowding on the inner all the way up the run up.

T2 slow to go grader, did well to qualify for the semi finals but up against it here and there are a lot of faster bitches in this race, will no doubt be one of the last to come away.

T3 will turn left on the run up and really hug the rails but may come into contact with T1 doing the opposite thing, does have good early pace though and may also hold the favourite up in T4.

T4 will be odds on for this contest today, only evenly away last time and will need to trap better today or may get caught up in the inside crowd, has a few lengths to find with us on first round form and I can't see this runner improving that amount. Will also run mid to rails so we are going to get lots of room on her inner. 

T6, more known as a stayer at Romford, barely qualified for this kind last week going off at a big price, same again this afternoon, not for me.

So to us in T5, really good draw to miss the crowding on her inner, has a tad more early pace than T4, we could lead this race or turn on the shoulder of T3, our all round pace will see us win this race and win this race well that's why I make her my max bet.
