Greyhounds Tips - Sunday, July 13

19:04 Star Pelaw - T3 (Space Captain) @ SP
Irish recruit having his first run on these shores this evening, has had three looks here, two over four bends and the other over this sprint trip last week and recorded a sub 15 second run and in the context of this race that is very good.
How I see this sprint race being run:
T1 - Recent Towcester winner in graded fair, has raced here before but this is a step up in class, nothing time wise to me that says this one will land a blow, only saving grace is the draw on the rails.
T2 - Another Towcester runner, this time more suited by four bends than two bends, no look here so may miss the start, does even have six-bend form if you look back to December last year, I think this runner gets outpaced early on in this.
T4 - Vacant.
T5 - Sheffield runner, came here last week for a look and was a length and half slower than us over the same course and distance. I think this runner rates our main danger but we are drawn inside and that can be crucial especially heading into the first bend.
T6 - No show in two open races here and went off big prices in both, does have lots of trial form and has a good draw on the outside and if this race becomes crowded this runner could pick up the pieces.
So to us in T3, we had good level of doubt fonts in Ireland at Shelbourne Park and also drumbo park, we can break level, pace up and just about clear the field as they go round first bend, no danger once we do that, but like I say in sprint races it's all on the break, I'm confident of a big run tonight.

13:51 Yarmouth - T4 (Romantic Jack) @ SP
Puppy that has been running well since coming onto the card, has got an excellent opportunity to get off the from today and there in lies his chance for a trap to line victory
How I see the race being run:
T1 - Hosed up in an A8 two runs back, hiked up three grades by the grader after that, not so good in this new grade latest but did show a bit more early pace than usual but finishing position was poor even with a clear run.
T2 - Won a couple the last month in an A8 and an A7, hasn't got to grips with this grade so far and again I see this one struggling this afternoon.
T3 - Gone off big prices in this grade the last few times, slowly into stride and that will be key to our race in leading this one early on.
T5 - Last the last four races and double figure prices in each, totally out of form and I cannot recommend this one at all, pass.
T6 - Non runner last time so that means has been on the sideline for nearly three weeks which would've just taken the edge off fitness wise, has good early too but I feel we get first run on this runner today.
So to us in T4, ideal launchpad to lead up as soon as traps go up, we edged middle last week so this move to T4 is perfect, not much early pace in opposition so we can quickly put this race to bed, I can see trouble in behind and us being lengths clear, we are a pup and keep getting stronger race by race. Confident choice.
