Sunday Greyhounds Tips: Ollie can be Wonderful

Our Greyhounds tipster, Trap2Line, returns with his daily selections, and he's looking to end the week with a couple of winners.

20:52 Pelaw - T1 (Wonderful Ollie) @ SP 

Did us a turn last week when a strong finish landed us our bet and in with a few runners that we beat last week, different type of race tonight and we will need things to go our way but what I can see and the race make-up suits us as I can see us again being too strong late in proceedings.

How I see this 590m Stayers’ Trophy being run:

T2 - Raced with us last week, crowded out at the first bend, didn't show much pace after that and I would be disappointed if we can't confirm the form with this runner.

T3 - A bit of an enigma having been off since May, if fully wound-up could be very dangerous tonight, as does have superior back form at Towcester being in against some of the quickest six-bend runners in the country so I wouldn't want this one looming round the first few bends, however she runs tonight she will come on a bundle, had she had a couple of spins already to blow away the cobwebs then this runner may have been my pick.

T4 - Our main danger as drawn and has a really good record here 6/11 should lead this evening but then that will give us something to aim at for the send half of the race, not the best stayer but her early pace may take her a few lengths up and if we get held up at any point then we may have too much ground to make up. 

T5 - Some solid Harlow form after moving there when Crayford closed, back form over the six bends gives this runner a squeak but this is a hard track to run first time out and I think this one is best watched today.

T6 - Local runner mixes four and six-bend races, not up to this class and will struggle to get involved, not for me.

So to us in T1, our perfect scenario is to track T4 from the start and stay on last this runner off the last bend, we are drawn to do this and turn second to T4 and then it will be game on, I wouldn't put anyone off the T1/T4 reverse forecast. Either way, confident of a big run.

16:16 Hove - T3 (Dreamin Lennon) @ SP

We were notably unlucky last week when travelling well into first bend but taking a false step and stumbling before the first bend, we were very well backed and can gain compensation this afternoon in what looks, if anything, a weaker contest than we were in last week.

How I see this A6 being run:

T1 - Won a pair of races at the start of July and then upper to A5 but has failed to produce so grader relents and drops this runner back into A6, with a record of 3/28 which doesn't inspire much confidence from me.

T2 - Very consistent on the clock a 30.10 dog over this trip and a 1/2 strike rate in the grade, has a habit of finding one too good and is sometimes flat footed at the start, very good middle pace but seems to come back to them off the last. Can be prominent for a few bends in this I just think we are a couple of lengths quicker.

T4 - Regular in the grade but hasn't won for a while, in fact a 5/23 strike rate doesn't make for good reading, overall time wise a little off this field and I can't see this one landing a blow today.

T5 - Vacant 

T6 - Has a good draw being the sole wide seed and to me that is worth an extra length alone, split times suggests this runner likes to be up there with the leaders and I think represents the main danger to us, if we get held up and this runner gets an uncontested lead we may not reel this one in as is getting stronger race by race.

So onto us, we need to look lively at the start and also make sure we get round the 1st bend better than we have the past two weeks, T6 should lead and give us something to aim at, if we turn second or third I would be quietly confident we can catch the leaders and win this going away from the third bend. Solid choice.
