1 pt 19:26 Hove – Behemoth (T6) @ SP
A trio of trap six selections from the Nevill Road circuit Hove this evening on a competitive open race card. At 19:26 in the Bills Birthday Bonanza open race over the four-bend 515-metre trip, look out for well-drawn wide seed BEHEMOTH, who runs from T6 for trainer Belinda Green. The December 2023 son of Malachi returned to action last week following a layoff and bolted up over the six-bend 575-metre trip at Romford, recording a three and a half-length victory in 35.34. Tonight, on his return to Hove, Behemoth is plotted up with T5 vacant and four railers on his inside.
Trap well, hit the back straight a couple clear and this should be all over bar the shouting by time Behemoth reaches the third bend. Sussex Cyclone (T4) can pop out in decent fashion and rates as a danger. As does Zenith Sultan from T3. The Richard Rees-trained railer is strong over this trip and would be a huge runner with a level break and clear run.

1 pt 20:06 Hove – Texas Jack (T6) @ SP
At 20:06, all eyes will be on the boxes as The Other Chief (T2) and Texas Jack (T6) clash in the Coral Sussex Cup Trial Stakes open race over the four-bend 515-metre trip. The £10,000 to the winner Category One competition gets underway on Saturday, July 18, with the final scheduled to take place on August 1. Tonight, in the Trial Stakes race, preference is for well-drawn wide seed TEXAS JACK from T6.
The Richard Rees-trained wide seed returns to action this evening following a seven-week spell off the track. Last week, Jack flew round clocking 29.12 during a trial over 500 metres, so everything seems well, and it's all systems go as he prepares for a tilt at the Sussex Cup at his home track. In a race lacking early pace, Jack has a chance to lead round. If that happens, he will prove hard to beat. Venetian Jock (T1) is strong over the trip and is another with live claims.

1 pt 20:26 Hove – Burrows Odyssey (T6) @ SP
The Coral 695 Maiden Stayers Trophy final at 20:26 can go to BURROWS ODYSSEY, who runs from T6 for trainer Jason Heath. The former Irish-based performer bolted up on Hove debut last week over this six-bend 695-metre trip, making all in 41.97. Burrows Odyssey should come on for that outing and, with further improvement likely, he looks a strong selection this evening.
Marshmallow Moon (T1) and Bling Bling Mhi (T2) are both lightly raced and open to plenty of improvement over this trip, they can battle it out to chase the selection home and fill the forecast spot. Brideside Belle (T3) popped out and made all in 42.71 in the heats of this competition. She’s got plenty to find on the clock against the race favourite but has claims if she kicks clear around the first couple of bends.
