T5 (Made Of Stone) 21:23 Yarmouth @ SP
Went into my notebook after a few very unlucky runs over the past few weeks and tonight he can gain compensation from a favourable draw.
T1 is a very slow starter, more accustomed to running six bends rather than four bends and gets going very late. May be dangerous if this race gets held up or becomes crowded. In a clean run race with no trouble this runner won't be quick enough to beat us.
T2 is not that quick early on and will edge off to the middle on the run up, causing potential crowding with T3. Just came back onto the card after being off since April and will be a big price in tonight's contest.
T3 has good early pace and will be prominent for the first half of this race, I can see her not being strong enough late to hold us off.
T4 recently dropped in grade but hasn't been in very good form. Average early pace could lead to crowding at first bend tonight, I feel we have the measure of both T4 and T6 on the run up, which will be key.
T6 is slowly away. Another grade dropper but I see us gaining first run on this challenger. If we don't come away then T6 has an excellent draw and pitch to go round and miss trouble, if we come away then we will have the running lane on this runner and can go round under T6. If we gain first run then this runner won't come past us.
So to us in T5, this will be a 100m sprint and looking at split times and race videos we just about have the legs of both T4 and T6 from the boxes. That can see us leading both these runners, we can then achieve our potential gaining this clear run and can go on to gain our first win. Confident choice if the race pans out as I expect.

T1 (Kilmore Dancer) 20:36 Nottingham @ SP
This is one of my antepost picks for the entire competition this evening. We have fared well in the draw and our overall pace should be too strong for the remainder of the field. We are going to have to beat an odds-on favourite but personally I think our race make up will allow us to do that.
T2 will make or break our race tonight. Has more early than we do, will edge right on the run up as drawn. Has never raced here which will mean he is more than likely to swing off at the first bend, giving us lots of room to go round handier than we normally would.
T3 was slowly away over the 500m trip last week. As with any new runner to the track, moved off round the first two bends last week and put himself out the race. Will have to be careful for T2 not to do the same this evening.
T4 scored a track record last week which came from a ping getaway. Will have to do the same tonight as T2 has similar early pace to this runner looking over his Perry Barr split times. If getting an uncontested lead will be hard to beat but I don't see that tonight.
T5 ex-Irish Yarmouth raider, very quick times at home track but again comes here with no look. Not a fan of that and will again struggle with the first two bends. May also pace up initially with T2 and T4 but go missing at the first bends.
T6 is in excellent form winning last four races at Sunderland. I don't think they want to be this far out as normally is drawn in the middle of the track, may be up there at first bend with the other leaders but I see lots of crowding and trouble and being drawn out on the wing could mean there is a wall of dogs in the way at first bend.
So to us in T1, we are drawn for a solo on the rails with at least half of tonight's field running off at the bend. I can see us turning second or third as we will stay to the rails and can set off after whichever dog leads. I would still be confident if we turned second to odds on favourite and if the race pans out as I think I see us winning and winning well. Bet of the day for me.
