21:01 Star Pelaw - T3 (Glengar Luna) @ SP

Very very unlucky to be knocked over at the first bend last week when gambled from 9/2 into odds-on. Compensation awaits tonight and we can gain a well-deserved victory against these lesser lights.

How I see this open staying race panning out;

T1 is an interesting Sunderland raider, normally slow to go but this track and trip could suit - and with the inside draw could run well at a price as it will be staying on in the second half of this contest.

T2 - very slow to go in a pair of four-bend opens here, has previous form at both Harlow and Yarmouth, should stay straight on the run to the bend with middle comments on her card, but I don't think has the back class to beat us. Will surely run her usual solid race in this tonight.

T4 is vacant which will help us initially.

T5 is a local that does have all-important four and six-bend form, so rates our main danger as drawn this evening. Will need to record a time sub-37 seconds though to challenge us in this but at least we know she stays and could pick up the pieces if we get held up at any point.

T6 has a good draw on the outer, ex-Drumbo Park, and from what I've seen in his races he starts well. Gets tapped for early and middle pace but then finishes well, so well worth a step up in trip into maiden open company and this is another runner that will be competitive tonight. I still think we are quicker.

So to us in T3. Good draw to be able to pace up and go round without the trouble tonight, and if we turn anywhere near the lead of tonight's race we will win this by a long way as the second half of all of our races is our strongest part.

Yes, we are going to have to come past a few dogs in this but with there only being five runners and a vacant trap on our outside all of that will help and I can see us coming through and winning impressively.

Solid choice.

21:11 Nottingham - T2 (Kilmore Dancer) @ SP

Since coming back on to the card we have been in exceptional form at Romford and at Towcester, and even though we haven't been here this race is less competitive than the ones we have just won over both four and six bends.

We have all-round pace and this track and trip will suit us this evening.

How I see this 480m open race being run;

T1 (reserve) has come in, solid local grader that is slow into stride and that alone will help us on her outside tonight to gain the first run and more importantly the rails position. I can see this runner being a very big price in tonight's contest.

T3 is our main danger, holds some good course and distance form and does have good early pace. On a line using Towcester form it's on a par with us, so us being drawn inside this runner will be crucial to our chances so we can gain first run.

T4 is another grader that won't be quick enough to land a blow this evening, is around 6-7 lengths slower than T3 on times over the 500m trip, so I see this runner being a big price in tonight's race.

T5 is a Perry Barr raider, poorly drawn as normally runs from the inside boxes, has run in an open sprint at its home track but she has been pitched in at the deep end first time here and I believe will be outclassed tonight.is

T6 another Perry Barr raider, better drawn and does have good split times back on home soil. Overall form and times however won't be quick or good enough this evening.

So to us in T2 - we are the class of tonight's contest, we arrive here in exceptional form and have a good draw to work from this evening.

I see this as a match race with us and T3. We have a dual running style meaning we can lead and make all but we are also accustomed to coming past rivals so I wouldn't be too concerned if we turn 2nd to T3.

Either way I'm confident of a big run and that's why I make this selection one of my strongest bets of the day.
