Monday Greyhound Tips: Two picks from Nottingham and Yarmouth

20:36 Nottingham - Noels Shadow (T1) @ SP

English debut tonight after trialling at Perry Barr and here over four bends last week.

Visually didn't look to stay the four-bend trip very well at both here and at Perry Barr, different story when you look at sprint times at Perry Barr.

A 3.95 split here for the 480m is rapid, and this step down to 305m with a long straight before the bend will be ideal.

T2 is a Monmore raider graded D2/A5 but won't be quick enough this evening. Even though they've been here for a look on February 3, they didn't really take to the track and I can see him struggling tonight.

T3 will want the rails, knocked over at the first bend last week. Will ease into the bend with dogs around her, not for me.

T4 is another that will want the rails and won't like being drawn this far off the fence, kinsley runner who won't be quick enough to feature and is likely to crowd up on the run up.

T5 is a solid local that will always give 100% may not be up to this class of dog however you will get a run for your money if you back her.

T6 similar comments to T5- being local helps as they know the track and is slightly better class than T5. Again though, I can't see this one being quick enough to beat T1.

So to us on the inside, we can trap quickly from T1 and lead on long run to bend, rail the field off and I'm predicting that we can pull right away for a multiple-length win.

20:47 Yarmouth - Stonepark Spice (T3) @ SP

We returned last week from a long lay-off and ran ok considering even with a few trouble spots, today I see us leading from the start and winning this well.

T1 is more known as a stayer and is slow to go over this four-bend trip, will have to come from the back and I can't see that happening tonight without getting held up. If gaining a clear run could be dangerous to us very late on in this as will be coming home with a wet sail.

T2 will dive to the rails, I don't think will be quick enough to take advantage tonight and could act as a goalkeeper for us as I see us leading this one early on.

T4 is another slow to go staying type like T1, this runner has won their last three races so is in form, but I feel our back form (being A1) will mean we are too quick early on and can build a big enough lead.

T5 had good form at the start of June, tailed off since hence the double figures SP the last few races, drops in grade but jury is out until he returns to form.

T6 is very consistent and to me rates our main danger tonight. Good draw to work from and if we don't come away or get held up this one can take advantage of that.

So to us in T3, if things go well, we should clear the field by first bend and have the middle pace to go a few lengths up and hold off the strong finishers in T1/T4/T6.
