Monday Greyhound Tips: A Monday in Yarmouth as Trap2Line tips a promising pair

The doyen of the dog, the Caruso of the canines, Trap2Line is back with a brace of top tips from today's greyhound racing at Yarmouth. D1 and D2 are covered with two rousing runners for your delectation.

20:47 Yarmouth - T5 (Thymelea Swift) @ SP

We return to two bends this evening and I was always taught to look out for better graded four-bend runners stepping back in distance. We are A2 over four bends but most of tonights field are A6/A7 when they run over the 462m distance.

T1 has been off the card since April with a mixture of being in season and being injured. Will need a few races to get back to full fitness. Low grade over four bends and may struggle to keep up with us tonight.

T2 has been off for a couple of months but has had one trial and one race in last couple of weeks. Badly crowded first bend last week and lost all chance. Back form in A3/A4 grade over four bends so is nearly on par with us grade wise. But on fitness alone I see us being stronger and quicker tonight.

T3 is usually slowly away over four bends and I don't see a step back in trip to two bends being a positive move. A good sprinter who boasts fine early pace. ith a short run to the bend not coming away, leads to lots of crowding at first and second bend. I see that happening tonight.

T4 is our main danger tonight but I do see a lot of times where this runner has been last out the traps and that gives us a chance to pace up and clear this them by bend one. If we get held up or miss the break then I can see this runner picking up the pieces off the second bend.

T6 leaves us with little to go on in regards to form. Trialled here in early July and then went over to Harlow for a few trials and one race. Was badly crowded at the first bend in that one. Was a non-runner back at Harlow last week so not much race form to go on. Didn't look like he stayed four bends on both trials here so four bends will be better for this runner. I take our race form over the potential of this one.

So back to us in T5, we can out-trap T3/T4 and also T6 on the outside. Our four-bend class and early pace should be too much for tonight's field and I make us my bet of the day.

19:06 Yarmouth - T2 (Grouchos King) @ SP

We have just recently returned to the two-bend sprint trip since returning to the card in early June. Mixed results so far, when we trap level or ping the lids we tend to win our races. But when we miss the break we struggle with first bend trouble so tonight therein lies our chance.

T1 won a similar race last week when we were crowded on the run-up and first bend. There was a lot of trouble with T2 moving off and this runner taking advantage of the space on the rails. Will rate a big danger to us if we don't come away in our best fashion.

T3 won for us last week and now steps up in class on the back of that impressive win. Not really known for her two-bend form but does have good early pace over four bends. Took advantage against slower types last week. Different gravy this evening and I can't see this runner holding us to the bend and I don't see this runner back-running us if we lead her.

T4 does have some good times and good times in both D2 and D1. But does have a few lengths to find with both us and T1 on recent runs in top grade. 

T5 beat us two runs ago and ran second last week. Has a good draw on the outside being the only wide runner. Always goes off at a backable price and will represent value on his draw alone this evening.

So to us in T2, race ruined last week when we were crowded on the run-up and we lost position and momentum ended our race. Looking over the form this evening we can gain a better run early on and that will give us the best opportunity to reverse the time with both T1 and T5. I am confident of a big run.
