Mondays are rubbish aren't they? Especially now the weather is becoming more classically British, which means we're all wet-through trudging to work with fading memories of beer gardens, festivals and the Lionesses lifting the trophy. But never fear because Trap2Line is here. Our resident Sheriff of Dogingham casts his eye over the Nottingham races to bring you two picks to stick in your quiver.

T1 (Chelms Bear) 19:44 Nottingham @ SP

T2 has found some good form recently and has been running some quick times. For me this is our main danger tonight. I would love to lead this runner as he is also very strong late on. We do have some early pace when we break and this runner does have a tendency to miss the up so we can gain that all important first run.

T3 is a Hove raider in good form. Runs in top grade at home track. First time running here and more than likely going to swing off at the first bend. Previous back form in Ireland was good so he isn't fully out of the picture tonight. If leading both us and T2 could run well at a price.

T4 has a poor draw for this railer and could come together with T3 on the run up. Will be trying to edge across to the rails. Led a good field 2 weeks ago but I don't see this one lasting tonight as both us and T2 are strong.

T5 has really good back form and if he is even close to his best, could have a massive day in tonight's contest. Best form was last year and not so good since returning this time around. Only positive I can see is his draw next to a railer so will get a clear run initially. I just don't think is quick enough to threaten the inside two runners.

T6 came here for a sprint trial and ran really well but this race is a lot harder. Has got eight lengths to find with T2 on last week's running alone. I feel this runner will be the outsider in tonights contest.

So to us in T1, we have to break and lead up T2. If we do that I can't see us being beat, if we don't then we will have to dig deep. T2 has a similar racing profile and style of running to us. With T3 swinging off at the first bend we can go round handier than usual. Our middle pace is exceptional and we stay on strongly too so I see a big run from us that is why I make this runner my bet of the day.

T6 (Alright Gordy) 19:27 Nottingham @ SP

T1 is a Monmore raider used to running from a middle position, so may edge off as drawn. Has been here before but that was in December last year. Not had much racing since and did run well over the 630m trip latest. But to me that is as far as this runner wants to go. Enters unknown territory tonight. From watching videos I personally think this dog will struggle rounding final two bends.

T2 is a solid yardstick that always runs well here over four or six bends. Will get into this race at some point. Quite a hard draw for this runner though being drawn outside T1, who is going to edge off on the run up so may crowd this runner.

T3 has been on and off the card recently. Did trial over course and distance last week and ran a respectable time. Could run well this evening at a price.

T4 is an ex-Irish runner who has been running well at Yarmouth over the six-bend trip. May lead tonight's race for a few bends at least. Didn't look to really stay at Yarmouth. Tonight's course and distance are harder and further so I see this runner being the outsider of the field.

T5 represents our main danger but what a terrible draw for a railer being drawn in T5. Last week they hugged the fence at Perry Barr so as soon as these traps open will be heading for the inside. I can see a lot of crowding on the run up for all the other runners as I can't see this one getting across. The only time I could see this runner doing that would be with a ping start but T4 may keep T5 out as he also has really good early pace. But what this is going to do is give our selection a solo out-wide.

So to us in T6, we are plotted up on the outside tonight with five railers against us. Loads of room to operate and to stay out of trouble. We aren't known for our early pace but with the inevitable crowding we can be closer to the lead than normal. Our forte is the second half of races and to me this track and trip are perfect for us to strut our stuff. I'm 100% confident of a win and make this runner a max bet this evening.
