Friday Greyhound Tips: Trap2Line eyes up two at Romford and Nottingham

Betfred Insights' gracious greyhound guru Trap2Line has returned with a brace of tips for tonight's racing. Hove is the place to be, with Trap2Line aiming his sights squarely on the seaside resort's racing.

20:54 Romford - T1 (Tasty Turkish) @ SP

Debut last week and off a slow break managed to pace up well and ran an excellent 1st bend to take the lead and never looked back from that point, we will need to sharpen up our trapping but we have early pace in spades so can overcome it and drawn next to the rails will help us force our way round this evening.

T2 massive danger to us after winning in English debut last week, this ex-Shelbourne raider did get the run of the race but I liked how he ran the track and if we don't come away tonight this runner will take advantage, on split times alone we have the edge on early pace in spades.

T3 more a mid to wide runner so will edge right on the run up giving the inside two runners lots of room, overall open race form has landed him three second-place finishes so far and to me this race tonight is harder than the ones he has been in previously and this runner will cause crowding on the run up.

T4 consistent on times in top company even if this one has struggled to win, will crowd initially with T3 coming over and taking running lane but if somehow can get a clear run, he could run well at a price.

T5 A2/A3 grader did win a maiden open last week and ran a competitive time, this race a lot harder tonight and I can see this one going off one of the outsiders, draw wise would prefer T6 so again I can see this one edging off in the early stages of tonight's race.

T6 won an A4 2 runs back and pitched in to open company since with a good second place in a quick time last week, will have T5 to contend with early in this and I feel that will be enough to put this runner on the back foot.

So to us in T1, good draw to break level and force our way through at first bend, we do that and we can go on to win, only danger would be if we force our way through and we drag T2 close behind us and then it will be a very close finish as T2 is strong but I'm confident of a solid run nevertheless.

19:56 Nottingham - T1 (Tally Ho Swift) @ SP

English debut last week and ran really well for a long way only getting tired in the final stages, tonight will strip fitter and does have a good draw on the rails to be able to gain compensation for last week's narrow loss.

T2 consistent runner runs A1/A2 regularly and pops up with a win now and then, her early pace seems to be lacking recently and it will be crucial tonight that we get first run on this runner.

T3 is more of an A3 runner than A2 and does seem to struggle in the grade, popped up at a nice price in a crowded race last time out and time very slow for the grade so I can see this one not being quick enough tonight.

T4 has been well supported a couple of times in this grade but has yet to get his head in front since returning from Sheffield. A lot better has been expected, tonight I can't see this runner beating us on the inside and I would be confident we can hold this runner in a clean run contest.

T5 made favourite a couple of times in A2 likely to put the pace to the race this evening for a few bends but will be picked up by the third bend by a few of tonight's runners. 

T6 a couple of last place finishes in the last two weeks doesn't stand this one in good stead, previous sprinting form will put this runner along with T5 out in front in the early stages tonight, overall four-bend times not quick enough for tonight's contest, though.

So for us in T1, a good draw and race make up so we can tune in behind the leaders, close with our middle pace and then go on by third bend for a comfortable victory. Solid selection.
