20:56 Sunderland - T4 (On the Nose) @ SP

We step back down to two bends this evening after being picked up close to home over four bends. Our recent sprint form in the complexion of this race reads well with a quick win and a second in the last two runs, we are class wise better than tonight’s field it's just we need to break and pace up and clear these at the bend and there is every opportunity to do that tonight.

How I see this open race sprint being run:

T1 - This runner has been on and off the card since arriving from Ireland, loads of trials but not many races, has trialled over course and distance and faired ok. A good split last week when trying four bends, not for me this evening but one to watch  with more racing under his belt. 

T2 - Four-bend local, on all form won't be quick enough here, but if the race comes together or it is a crowded race then this one may come into it.

T3 - Returns from injury tonight, record running fresh isint great and this local sprint graded runner will struggle as drawn to get into tonight's contest.

T5 - Mixture of success, overall form doesn't compare to most of these runners tonight and will be a big price in this.

T6 - Quick four-bend dog and on March's form alone would be right with these, not so good since and a layoff to overcome too, still this one I rate our main danger if we get held up.

So to us in T4, all I see is us pinging the traps, pacing up and making all, we will have enough early to clear these by bend one and then there is no danger, sprinting is all about trapping and early pace and we have both. Confident choice. 

19:41 Sunderland - T5 (Punch a hole) @ SP

A regular of ours and he has come up against some quick dogs in the last couple of weeks, performing well but still having his open race maiden tag. Looking at this evening’s race we have another excellent opportunity to break it and I see the race being run as I've described below.

T1- Newcastle raider, has one quick trial time here but that was back in March and will have to come on for that to get involved this evening, recent race at Sheffield I viewed him edging right on the run up out of T1 so I can see the same again tonight.

T2 - Similar comments here for T2, in better form but will be edging more middle than rails, needs a repeat of his A2 of 27.40 to get competitive tonight, I personally can't see that.

T3 - Quick-starting bitch, recently back on the card after a layoff, has good times over both two and four bends and is the likely pace angle in this race, which can set the race up for us to come through in the latter stages.

T4 - Will be moving more into T3 path on the run upcoming solid local graded bitch that has a 2/3 record from T4, this race is a lot harder than she has ever faced and I don't think will be quick enough.

T6 - A2/A3 runner and will be the outsider of tonight’s field, I personally think will be out of her depth and the others will be too quick.

So to us in T5, we will have more room on the run-up than it looks like we will have on paper, we can turn first or on the shoulder of T3, we have shown massive middle pace in the last couple of races and to see us showing that again this evening and closing down the back before taking it up rounding the final two bends and winning this race going away. Max bet for me.
