1 pt 16:16 Hove – Fwesh Bambino (T6) @ SP

The first selection today is lightly raced wide seed FWESH BAMBINO, who lines up from T6 in the A8 graded race from Hove at 16:16. The Alfie Herbert-trained April 2024 son of Broadstrand Bono caught the eye back on October 31, when making all in A10 company recording 30.12 (+30) following a smart 3.56 sectional.

Bambino was then off the track during November and returned to action last week but missed the break and met early trouble. Today, in a race lacking early pace, Fwesh Bambino has a chance to lead round. On the bunny he can kick clear of the chasing pack and prove hard to peg back.

Harlequin Windy (T4) is a consistent course and distance performer who often catches the eye staying on well, she rates as the danger and is also worth including in forecast bets.

16:16 Hove - Winner

1 pt 16:22 Newcastle – Highview Cutie (T2) @ SP

Over at Newcastle, keep an eye on HIGHVIEW CUTIE who runs from T2 in the A7 graded race at 16:22 over the standard four-bend 480-metre trip at the Byker venue. The Stephen Caile-trained railer looks well-drawn to turn handy and, if that happens, it's race on.

Coppice Survivor looks the likely race leader from T1, but he’s not the strangest off the final bend. If Highview Cutie can turn second and get first crack at the leader, she can hit the front late on and power clear. Ranchers Lucy (T3) is three from seven in this grade and is worth noting in the market. Although approaching five years old, she’s still more than capable of taking a race like this on a going day.

16:22 Newcastle - Winner
Highview Cutie

2 pt 16:28 Sunderland – Newmoorsmags (T2) @ SP

The third and final selection runs at Sunderland in the A3 graded race at 16:28. NEWMOORSMAGS makes her Sunderland debut this afternoon following a move across the Irish Sea from Clonmel. Now trained by Mark Bulmer based at Star Pelaw, the September 2023 daughter of Ballymac Cashout is an interesting runner given the race make-up.

Emers Niamh (T1) isn’t the quickest into stride and Hut Fitter in T3 edges off slightly at lid rise, so Mags should get plenty of room early on. Her Irish form shows a mixture of wins from the front or hitting the front at the third bend, so Mags will be strong over this 450-metre trip.

If she pops out and improves a couple of lengths from the 28.13 trial time, that would put her bang there this afternoon. The key, as ever, is the break, trap well and its race on.

16:28 Sunderland - Winner
Newmoorsmags
