Wednesday Greyhound Tips: Bo Catunda and the Sundance Sasha

It's Wednesdau and we've got three hump-day hits from Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle on X). Our greyhound expert has tips in triplicate, with Sunderland, Romford and Yarmouth on the docket for today.

Today's Greyhound odds

1 pt 15:13 Sunderland – Westforth Willow (T2) @ SP

Three selections today from Sunderland, Romford and Yarmouth live on Premier Greyhound Racing. This afternoon at the North East venue, Sunderland, one that should go well is WESTFORTH WILLOW from T2 in the A7 graded race at 15:13 over the four-bend 450-metre trip.

Willow is two from three in the grade and with a smart break this afternoon she can grab the rails, lead off the second bend and kick a couple clear of the chasing pack. Willow is strong over this trip, many of her wins have come from off the pace, but today, in a race lacking early pace she could even lead round. Crafty Misco is a consistent A7 performer and would be a danger with a level break from T6.

1 pt 20:36 Romford – Sundance Sasha (T2) @ SP

Over at the London Road circuit, look out for SUNDANCE SASHA who lines up from T2 in the A10 graded race at 20:36 over the standard four-bend 400-metre trip at the Essex venue. The Deborah Hurlock-trained railer caught my eye last time out on what was only her second ever run at Romford since moving over from Harlow.

Tonight, if Sasha brings her trapping boots, I can see her leading at the rails and, once on the bunny, it’ll take a good one to back run her in this grade. The key to the race is the break and run into the first bend. It’s imperative that Sasha clears Trust (T1) at lid rise and rails inside Yahoo Cleo (T4), who looks our main rival in the early pace department. Trust (T1) will be staying on well and the T2 to beat T1 forecast looks a good option in this race.

1 pt 21:04 Yarmouth – Catunda Bo (T1) @ SP 

The third and final selection of the day comes from Yarmouth on what looks like an ultra-competitive all-graded card at the home of the East Anglian Greyhound Derby. The runner that appeals this evening is the Jane Craske-trained railer CATUNDA BO, who runs from T1 in the A5 graded race at 21:04. Plotted up in T1 with a vacant box in T2 and then two middle seeds and two wides seeds in the race Bo looks a solid play.

Back in the summer, Catunda Bo was running well in A3 and A4 grade and then broke into season in late July. She returned to action in September and October but was then off the track again, having been reported off colour. A four-week break seems to have done the trick, with Bo back firing on all cylinders, winning two of her last four over this 462-metre trip at Yarmouth. Tonight, with a level break, she can rail inside her rivals at the first bend and then kick for home down the back straight.
