Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Trap2Line’s two Tuesday fancies

We're back at trackside this Tuesday, November 18 for a duo of dog picks. Our resident greyhound guru, Trap2Line, has lined up a peach of a pair at Sunderland and Suffolk Downs.

20:19 Sunderland - Glenhead Holly (T6) @ SP

We step back to a level start this week having raced in two handicap races the last two weeks when early trouble put us out those races. Prior to that our run of form and decent clockings for the grade means we have an above average chance to get back into the winners enclosure. We have lots going for us in tonight's contest.

T1 only recently stepped down to this grade but not running very well at all. End times are way off us. Slow to go and will need to improve a chunk to challenge us tonight.

T2 has been marketed at double figure prices in two of last three races, finishing out the back in those runs and not breaking 29 seconds. Will need a time of sub 28.50 to win today and not running anywhere near those times. Not for me.

T3 won two runs back at 11/1 and financier again last week but a woefully slow start and early trouble put this runner out the contest. Represents our main danger tonight but we should gain first run.

T4 sent off a short price the last two weeks in this grade, having a clear run and staying on at one pace and not troubling the leaders. What is interesting though is the money was down so owners/trainer fancied this runner to have a big run. wWill be interesting if again this runner is well supported tonight.

T5 was slowly away on debut last week. Only a pup so will improve for racing but currently not up to our standard. Likely to be one of the outsiders for tonight's race but did have some consistent trial times. Once stepping down in grade will probably win an A9 further down the line.

So to us in T6, there isn't much early pace in tonight's contest so the lead is up for grabs. We are plotted up on the outside to pace up and clear this field at the bend, all the other runners split times are similar so I can see lots of trouble in behind. We are currently running really consistently so we can lead out and make all. I make this runner my bet of the day.

18:56 Suffolk Downs - Savanaacatenango (T1) @ SP

We lost all chance at the start last week when stumbling badly out the traps. During the race however we made up copious amounts of ground and weren't beaten far in the end. Of a level break tonight, I make this race a match race with us and T2. I feel the race can be set up for us to come through second lap and win well.

T2 is the main danger to us and steps up in trip for the first time to this staying six bends. Has good early pace over four bends and can lead us out tonight but we are stronger and can come through 2nd half of this contest to win the race going away.

T3 vacant box 

T4 ran well at a big price last week when not beaten far in a tight finish. That was improved form and out ran her odds of 20/1. Will need both inside runners to run poorly or both get held up to get involved in tonight's finish.

T5 is a Harlow raider who has been plying her trade mainly over 415m winning her fair share. Has form over six bends at Pelaw Grange/Yarmouth and Romford. May run well at a price and could surprise a few this evening as is inform 

T6 is a Yarmouth runner who again was close up last week in our race. Seemed to stay well enough and has some form lines back in March that compare very favourably to us. I just feel both us and T2 are a level above this runner.

So back to us on the inside in T1, everything points to a big run. We have a good draw and should gain a clear passage throughout race. Anything like a level start should be good enough to come past T2 on second lap. I am that confident of a win that I make this runner my max bet.
