Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Two Sunderland selections catch the eye

Sunderland are flying in the Premier League, and we are heading their for our Tuesday picks from greyhound expert Trap2Line.

19:27 Sunderland - T6 (Droopys Marie) @ SP

We will appreciate this drop in status to this A5 grade, even though we are slowly into stride I can see us being more prominent than usual and use our late kick to pick these runners up off the last and kick clear for an impressive win. 

How I see this 450m A5 being run:

T1 -  Form seems to have tailed off since August when this runner was running sub 28 second runs for fun, not at that same level since and has struggled in recent races, zero from four in this grade so far but back form is there for all to see, may run well at a price tonight.

T2 - Highly tried last week in an open race at Pelaw where was tailed off, form here ok and did win an A6 really well mid October no show in three A5s even when strongly fancied and I can't see this runner gaining a clear run tonight.

T3 - Another runner with a blank record in the grade, no wins from five attempts, is a pup and improvement can come at any point as not had many races, one to definitely watch over the coming weeks, if not tonight.

T4 - Generally consistent form, quick breaker and may put the pace to the race this evening, a 33% strike rate in the grade too and to me rates our main danger if able to get loose off the front.

T5 - Woeful form figures recently and will need to improve a bundle to be involved in tonight's finish, not for me.

So to us in T6, lots going for us, good draw and downgrade to start with, we should avoid the early agro and can come with a wet sail off the last bend to win this race going away. I'm very confident of a massive run tonight.

21:28 Sunderland - T5 (Malibu Harry) @ SP

We have recently been dropped to this level of D4 and was sent off a very warm order of 1/2 last time out, held every chance but ran really well, pitched into a handicap last week and gave a 2m start to another of tonight's runners and was unable to pick that runner up, off a level start tonight I do see I different result.

How I see this 261m D4 sprint race panning out:

T1 - Kennel mate to us and does have a good draw on the rails today, to me this runner is more of a danger than T2 as drawn, has consistent form in this grade and does have form in higher grade too, this race will revolve around which runner leads at first bend 

T2 - Had everything going for him last week in a handicap and made the most of a decent advantage, harder today as has lots of pace around him, Racing Post SP make him favourite for tonight's contest and I personally don't see that, a record of five wins from 18 attempts is good but I think T1 and us will get the better of this runner tonight.

T3 - Form has taken a nose dive and this runner is crying out to the grader for another drop in grade, likely to be one of the outsiders in this contest and not for me.

T4 - One good time recently three runs back that gives this runner a squeak but overall disappointing form and likely to be a big price for tonight's race.

T6 - Third run back from a layoff this evening, crowded both races so far since return and did have good form in the grade prior to layoff so could come back to form anytime, to me is best watched at the minute and we can hopefully gain first run on this runner to control the outside tonight.

So to us in T5, good draw between slow starters and we can pace up and control the outside, imperative we also clear the inside two runners and we should just about have enough pace to do that, if we do lead I can see us winning this race by over a length and I do feel lots of money will come for us throughout the day. Confident choice.
