Thursday Greyhound Tips: Azura aiming to touch the Skye at Hove

The S3 graded race at 7.33 from the Nevill Road circuit in Hove can go to lightly raced former Irish-based runner AZURA SKYE in T3. The Derek Knight-trained railer caught the eye last time out when staying on well over the four-bend 500-metre trip in A3 company and now steps up in trip to the six-bend 695-metre distance.

The key to the race is the break. Yankee Molly in T1 and Hopes Candy in T2 aren't the quickest into stride, there a chance Azura Skye could turn with Kates Bart (T6) and then hit the front by the third bend. Granted a clear run around the first couple of bends Azura can power home and prove to be well above this grade on her six-bend debut. Yankee Molly (T1) will be staying on well and could be the one to chase home the selection.

1 pt 20:13 Monmore - Aero Chris (T6) @ SP

Draws win races and AERO CHRIS has a cracker to work from when the January 2024 youngster lines up from T6 in the A7 graded race at 8.13 at Monmore. In recent weeks, Aero Chris has shown plenty of ability, going close on numerous occasions in this grade and winning when dropped into A8 company.

Tonight, on his return to A7 grade, the son of Orchestrate looks well-drawn to turn with the pace and if that happens, he can power down the back straight and hit the front late on. Aero Chris stays on well; this is all about avoiding early trouble and turning on the tail of likely leader Signet Marshall in T3. Seven Kisses (T1) is another that will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast and tricast bets.

1 pt 21:11 Newcastle - Blackhouse Kim (T6) @ SP

Over at Newcastle five competitive trial races for the upcoming Premier Greyhound Racing All England Cup take place with class acts like Elusivenomore, Moanteen Webby, Coppice Saphire, Zenith Tanju and Hardwick Woody all in action.

The runner that caught my eye as a betting proposition for this evening is well-drawn wide seed BLACKHOUSE KIM who runs from T6 at 9.11 over the four-bend 480-metre trip at the Byker venue Newcastle. When Kim gets it right at the boxes, she's capable of clocking around the 28.40 mark, a repeat of that would see her take this race. A vacant box in T5 strengthens Kim's hand in this race and, with the others all very similar into the corner, she could find herself on the bunny down the back straight.
