This is our second run here this afternoon after making an eye-catching debut last week, when losing more ground with trouble than we were beaten, went straight into my notebook after that performance, and circled saying 'winner waiting to happen in same grade'. Has a good opportunity to open our account for the second time of asking today.

How I see this A3 race being run:

T1 has won her last two races in A5 and A4, so she arrives in this A3 grade in good form, misses the break but paces up and can maybe turn in a pitch today. I just feel we have more potential.

T2 zero from six in the grade and looking at overall times will need to find a few lengths today to get involved, has one recent competitive time that could trouble us, but mostly disappointing.

T3 good early and blitzed a field in a lower grade latest with a quick time, not sure will get the luxury of leading this race today, but if doing so and clearing and others being held up could cause a shock, I don't see it personally though.

T5 recently stepped back up to four bends after running two bends and coming back on to the card in October, had this race been run in May this year I would give this runner a major chance as at that time was in tremendous form, not so good since and struggling to find her early ice that she showed over the two-bend distance again I see us being overall too strong for this runner.

T6 has only broken 30 seconds once recently, and it will take a time sub-30 to win today, so I see this runner being a big price against a few of these that run sub-30 seconds for fun.

So to us in T4, T3 will edge more middle to rails on the run up, and I think we can pace up and run on the shoulder of that runner. Our middle pace will be dangerous here, and we can close down the back before going on by bend three and win this race going away. Solid chance.

18:42 Hove - Uncle Freddie (T4) @ SP

We came back onto the card in early October after being off since July with a slight niggle. but we have come back as strong as ever, and tonight represents a big drop in class for us from open company into this A1, and this will be our first venture into this grade.

How I see this top-grade 500m race being run:

T1 is always well supported in the grade and from tonight's draw has a major chance, and if we don't come away or be held up, then this runner will need no second invitation, has good early pace, and is very consistent on times over this trip.

T2 quick win last week from the front in this grade. I feel even though this is still an A1, the calibre of runner tonight is a lot stronger than last week, so I think this runner will initially struggle to clear T1 in the run up, and then that can lead to crowding at the bend. I just see this runner being outclassed and outpaced this evening

T3 vacant trap, which can help us being drawn directly outside the vacant box.

T5 moves more mid to wide on the run up and at the bends, will give us lots of space to operate this evening, very consistent in the grade, and you know this runner will clock a time of 29.70ish each run, so you get a run for your money always.

T6 is another with great early pace that may be dangerous if gaining an uncontested lead, split times mean he will lead T5 and therein lies this one's chances. Again, could clear the field at the bend if breaking in the best fashion, so it will be imperative that we don't give this runner too much rope.

So, to us in T4, good draw, lots of space to pace up, really good time last week, even being stopped a few times in the race, downgrade tonight, and we can win this race really impressively with a strong running performance, very confident and make this runner my bet of the day.
