16:16 Central Park - Pearces Willow (T4) @ SP
We were a big eye catcher on our debut last week when being badly hampered on the run up with T3 moving off, but we still recovered and chased home an impressive winner. Time-wise, we ran really well, even with trouble, and a better opening 100m today could mean we land our first victory.
How I see this two-bend D3 sprint being run:
T1 is better in D4 than this grade, but has broken 17 seconds in two of her last three runs, a record of zero from seven in the grade doesn't instill much confidence; however, the only uncertainty to me is the draw on the fence. Other than that, I feel we will be too quick for this runner.
T2 recently dropped to this D3 grade from D2, which would be dangerous if able to repeat August's form in the higher grade when running sub-17 seconds for fun; not in that sort of form at the moment and to me, will struggle this afternoon.
T3 used to be too great here, not that same level as she is getting older, but does pop up from time to time at big prices, and also three runs ago ran a 16.65, which, in the context of this grade, is very quick.
T5 is another pup that is climbing the grades and getting quicker each time he goes to the traps, has two wins already, and was made favourite for a similar race last week. If we falter, then this runner will take advantage.
T6 has been off since April, and trials back haven't been that quick. I see this runner being a very big price today and will come on for the run
So to us in T4, second run tonight, better drawn in between two slow starters, we really need first run today and being drawn inside main danger helps. We can pace up on the run up and clear the field at the bend, we lead and we win - it's as simple as that. I make this runner my max bet of the day.

18:37 Newcastle - Coolavanny Ken (T6) @ SP
We arrive at this top grade race in top form and have been running consistently for the last couple of months, recording some good wins and running well in other races, and today's makeup suits us - we can come through with a strong running performance tonight.
How I see this 480m A1 race being run:
T1 slow to go railer recently stepped up to open race company the last two times, if the race becomes crowded or slows up at the bends, then this runner may come through late on in this contest.
T2 - if this race was last year, then this runner would be odds on, however, hasn’t been in that type of form since returning from injury and even though this runner is running well he is over five to six lengths slower than he used to be over same course and distance, will struggle to clear the early pace in T3 and T4 tonight and may crowd up at the bend.
T3 good initial early pace but prefers A2 rather than this top grade, could lead up the race for the first bend or so, but then drop away in the second half of this race.
T4 is relatively new to the track and has a good record so far. It will take a sub-29-second run to win this, and that is well within this runner's compass.
T5 - if this had been start of September, then this runner may have been my choice, but hasn't been in same form last three weeks, is still our danger tonight and we really need to keep tabs on this runner early on in this contest but I think we turn handy and stay on past this runner.
So to us in T6, good draw being only wide seed tonight, we can do it both ways by leading or coming off the back, tonight we will be closer to the front early on and can come through second half to win this race well. Solid choice.
