16:34 Hove - T1 (Punkrock Perkele) @ SP

This will be our first run since September this afternoon and the grader has been kind to us dropping us into this D4 grade. We were running well in D3s prior to lay off and as long as we post a time of sub 17 seconds it should be our race to lose. We showed we are fit enough by doing that in a trial last week and we should come on for that and are running against inferior rivals today.

How I see this two bend 285m D4 race panning out:

T2 - Sent off even money on debut last week over four bends when looked not to stay after leading round the first couple of bends, only run over four bends and hasn't trialled from these boxes but looks to have early pace over four bends so may appreciate this drop back to 2 bends and could be a danger to us if taking to the trip.

T3 - D4 regular and consistent on form and times, about 2-3 lengths slower than we are over this trip and will need us to not perform or to be held up to get involved.

T4 - A record of 3 from 38 in the grade kinda tells the story really, has placed the last few weeks but when I look at this runners finishing times I see that she has a lot of time to find with us in a clean run contest and may need a crowded race to get involved

T5 - Ex-Irish runner, no show so far in a pair of D4 runs, had a clear run last week but still managed to come last, will need to find a chunk of time and time to get involved this afternoon.

T6 - A record of 3 from 25 in this grade, does have a good draw on the outside but form wise has a lot to find with us and T2, I think will be a double figure price for this race today and I can't see this one being involved in the finish.

So to us in T1, good draw and we should come back with a dominent performance, a kind of unknown runner in T2 to be wary of but we have the back class and overall form to win this easily, fitness taken on trust but we showed all is well with a sub 17 second trial last week, a repeat of that should be all we need. Confident choice.

16:26 Oxford - T5 (Rebel Alaska) @ SP

We come back on to the card for the first time since September this afternoon after a really unlucky debut run, we have been trialling since and have recorded some really quick times over course and distance and does have a good race make up today to come back with a win.

How I see this 459m open race being run:

T1 - Open race regular here the last month, four runs ago did break 27 seconds which he will need to repeat to have any chance today, good draw on the rails but normally slow to go and could be held up at bend 1 if again he is slowly away.

T2 - Good recent trial at Romford which brings this runner right into today's contest, also was backed into odds on for an open race at Central Park recently so owners expect better, hasn't been here before and a lack of a recent look is a negative for me

T3 - Loves the rails and will turn left at trap rise and head to the rails, and that could cause crowding for the inside runners, was in the wars only run here start of November and has been off since with one trial two weeks ago, a pup that is one to watch but to me a poor draw today.

T4 - Top grade runner at Monmore, has been here and has broke 27 seconds in a trial so not completely out of today's race, will stay middle on the run up and at the bends, needs to improve on his two third place finishes here both runs and could run second to us if the inside runners crowd up and spoil each others chances.

T6 - Vacant trap that will help us.So to us in T5, so much potential and a lot quicker than we have seen in his only race so far, trialled back really well and will be a lot better than these runners with a clear run and I can see this runner winning this race by multiple lengths. Very confident choice.
