16:04 Sheffield - Rental Crisis (T5) @ SP

We return to course and distance for the first time since July where we won in a decent time, since then we have gone from strength-to-strength and ran against some of the fastest two-bend performers in the country. To me, today is a slight drop in grade in the calibre of runners and we have an excellent draw in this four-runner contest to lead and make all

How I see this 280m open sprint race being run:

T1 is a solid local grader, mixes two and four-bend races, and their overall times over this 280m are a little way off us. May struggle to clear the inside as could get outpaced going into bend one, normally the inside draw is a positive in sprint races but if a runner lacks early pace it can turn into a poor draw as crowding looms.

T2 did win a similar race last week in a quick time. The loss of the red jacket is a negative as this runner will be trying to get over to the fence on the run up and at the first bend and could crowd up with T1 spoiling each others chances.

T3 arrives here winning his last two races - another bang railer that will be turning left at trap rise and boring to the fence on the run up leaving acres of space for us to pace up and miss the inside trouble.

T4 is a vacant box.

T6 is a vacant box.

So to us in T5, this race will be more like a solo trial as we have lots of room with two vacant traps along with all the other three rivals all wanting the rails.

What we can do is use our early pace to clear the inside at the bend, miss the crowding and go on to record a impressive victory.

18:11 Star Pelaw - Good Chloe (T3) @ SP

This is a very strong sprint trophy this evening and we qualified impressively winning in the quickest time last week. We have liked reverting to this two-bend trip and we can continue that improvement by landing this from what looks like a really good race makeup.

How I see this 245m open race sprint being run:

T1 is a Harlow raider been in great form back at home circuit mopping up graded-sprint races for fun, always well supported and won well in a D3 last week. Has been here before in September when was slowly away and crowded out at first bend. I can't see this runner leading us tonight especially with a vacant trap on our inner.

T2 is a vacant trap.

T4 has a poor draw for this wide seed and will be edging off on the run up and swinging wide at the bend as normally races from T6. This can give us even more space to pace up and clear this field at the bend. I can see the wide runners getting into trouble with what this runner is going to do on the run up ,edging right all the way to the bend.

T5 has some quick times since stepping back down to two bends but will need to look lively at the start especially of T4 pings the lids. May be dangerous if able to get out ahead of T4 as does have four-bend form so won't be stopping off the last bend. My fear is this runner will be crowded out of the race by bend one.

T6 has a good pitch on the outside that with a decent getaway - again could be dangerous to us especially if he is able to repeat last week's impressive time. That was really the first time since arriving from Ireland that he has had a clear run - all other races have ended due to crowding but could be our main danger tonight.

So back to us in T3, we should have all the room on the run up to break level and pace up into the bend. Our first task is beating T1 to that point, and we should easily do that and it can be plain sailing from that point, as I do see the outside runners spoiling each other’s chances.

18:11 Star Pelaw - Winner
