Monday Greyhound Tips: Reggie is a likely lad at Yarmouth

1 pt 16:53 Monmore – Hawkfield Bionic (T3) @ SP

Three selections today on a busy Monday of action across the country live on Premier Greyhound Racing. The first selection runs at Monmore in the A8 graded race at 16:53 over the standard four-bend 480-metre trip at the Wolverhampton venue. The Patrica Cowdrill-trained youngster HAWKFIELD BIONIC caught the eye on debut last week over course and distance and with improvement likely from this May 2024 pup, she looks a solid play this afternoon.

On debut, Hawkfield Bionic met trouble at the first bend and was then badly checked up at the third when challenging for the lead. She would have learnt plenty from that outing and should go close today. The key to this race is the break. They all have similar sectionals, so the lead is up for grabs. If Hawkfield Bionic brings her trapping boots and improves a length or two into the corner, she can lead round and kick for home.

1 pt 19:22 Yarmouth – Oh So Risky (T4) @ SP

Over at Yarmouth this evening, look out for lightly raced middle seed OH SO RISKY who lines up from T4 in the A8 graded race at 19:22. The October 2023 daughter of Kilara Icon was highly tried last time out running in a six-bend open race at Suffolk Downs. She returns to calmer waters this evening in low-grade company at her home track and, granted a smart break and clear run into the corner, she should prove too good for the opposition.

On the bunny, Oh So Risky is a 28.70 type of performer, a repeat of that would see her take this by two or three lengths. Followdelite rates as the main danger from T1. It’s imperative that the selection clears that rival into the corner and kicks a couple clear. Cherry Girl (T3) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast bets.

1 pt 19:56 Yarmouth – Unlikely Reggie (T6) @ SP

The third and final selection also runs at Yarmouth this evening with UNLIKELY REGGIE catching the eye in the A5 graded race at 19:56. The Ricky Thom-trained wide seed looks well-drawn to turn with the pace and, if that happens, it's race on down the back straight. Reggie stays on well. If he turns second or third and within a length of the leader, he can hit the front off the final bend and power clear of the chasing pack.

The Other Gigi could be the pace in the race from T4. The lightly raced daughter of Ballymac Best often hits the front out of the second bend, but this then reeled in late on. That's the plan again this evening for those on Unlikely Reggie.
