Friday Greyhound Tips: A pair of Romford runners from Trap2Line

Read on for a pair of picks from our resident Greyhounds tipster.

21:46 Romford - Aayamaza Legend (T4) @ SP

This is our debut here tonight. We were at a very good standard in Ireland and have been running well here the last few weeks, breaking 24 seconds in all practice sessions so far. If getting loose on the lead tonight we can pull right away for our maiden English victory.

T1 has been running over six bends at Pelaw recently with mixed results and not gaining many clear runs. Has been well supported in races so far but hasn't landed a victory. First try here and to me this rails draw won't suit as this runner has been running mostly from middle traps and keeps a middle course throughout races. This is a negative and there could be lots of crowding on the run up in tonight's race.

T2 is in good form at Central Park but will look to dive left to the rails as the traps open. Was favourite for a similar race two weeks ago when led but got picked up late on. Second time this has happened and to me in a clear run race this runner doesn't stay this trip well enough to win tonight.

T3 is a consistent sort over a variety of trips but is mostly a graded runner and this race will be too strong. We should be too quick in the early stages, which will mean this runner may get held up at first bend when we come across.

T5 is a Monmore raider runs really wide so we should have some space on run up to pace up. Form wise has been here before in early September but had a clear passage and recorded a mid 36 second time. That will be no good tonight. To me has to find a chunk of time to land a blow 

So to us in T4, we have shown enough early pace in trials to clear these runners by bend number one and use our middle pace to go clear. We did have form over six bends in Ireland so we will stay and I can see us winning this race by five-plus lengths in a good time. Very confident choice.

21:11 Romford - Bubbly Babs (T2) @ SP

We step back up to 750m for the second time this evening and this return to eight bends looks like it will suit. We can track clever first lap behind the leader in T1 before coming through second circuit and winning this race going away.

T1 has won two from last three and unlucky not to be three-for-three when being chinned late on over this track and trip two runs ago. If we compare that end time to our end time over same distance we have five-to-six lengths in reserve this evening and should prove too strong for this runner.

T3 is a vacant trap which will help us.

T4 is an interesting runner over this trip and does have some good form at Monmore and Oxford. Never raced here so will be learning the track during the race,. I think that alone is a negative and I don't see this runner being involved in the finish tonight.  

T5 is top grade at Monmore and has been open racing at Dunstall Park where they ran well against some decent eight bend stayers. Again, not been here but I rate this one's form stronger than Monmore's other runner. May run well at a price tonight.

T6 has raced at numerous tracks recently but never here. Runs oh so wide which is a huge negative here as will lose copious amounts of ground if doing so. On current form will be an outsider for tonights race.  

So to us in T2, good draw to follow T1 round. No T3 so we will have more space early on. Over the 575m trip here we stay on very strongly so this extra 175m will be right up our street and I can see us being well on top second lap. Very confident choice.
