Friday Greyhound Tips: It started out with a Gypsies Kiss, how did it end up like this?

Time to tap into that Friday feeling with a fine trio of canine tips. Our resident greyhound guru Michael Smyth (bettingjungle on X) has run the rule over the day's racing and picked out dogs from Suffolk Downs and Harlow for your week-ending persual.

Today's Greyhound Odds

1 pt 15:59 Suffolk Downs – Gypsies Kiss (T1) @ SP

Two from three at Star Pelaw last night, with Lightfoot Adele and Kender both winning. Today we head to Suffolk Downs and Harlow with three selections across the two meetings. At 15:59 in the A5 graded race from Suffolk Downs over the four-bend 388-metre trip, GYPSIES KISS looks well-drawn in T1 to lead round and make all. The Linda Pruhs-trained September 2023 daughter of Ballyhimikin Jet drops back into A5 company this afternoon following three runs at higher grade. The early-paced railer will appreciate the drop-in class and, with a smart break from the boxes, she looks like the one they all have to beat.

On the bunny, Gypsies Kiss is a 24.07 performer over this course and distance, a repeat of that would see her take this. Lightly raced June 2024 pup Oscar rates as the danger from T4. Oscar bolted up last time out and has been given a double penalty by the Racing Manager going from A7 straight into A5 grade.

1 pt 17:14 Suffolk Downs – Mia Jezabelle (T3) @ SP

The six-bend S3 graded race at 17:14 can go to MIA JEZABELLE from T3. The April 2023 daughter of Hiya Butt is in flying form at the moment with three wins in her last five races, including two over this course and distance. Today, if Mia Jezabelle brings her trapping boots, she can lead round and make all. Voluntary rates as a danger from T1.

The Jay Ray-trained railer popped out and made all in S4 company last time out, clocking 34.38 and would be a huge runner with a level break this afternoon. Noteworthy (T4) is a class act on a going day. She’s found life tough in recent weeks, finishing third, fourth and fifth, but she's better than those lines of form and would be a runner with a ping break.

1 pt 20:34 Harlow – Ammit (T5) @ SP

An interesting runner this evening is AMMIT, who lines up from T5 in the A7 graded race from Harlow over the four-bend 415-metre trip. In a race lacking early pace, Ammit could get a soft lead. If that happens, the May 2024 pup can kick clear of the chasing pack and win her first race over this distance. The key to this race is the break. If the Sarah Saberton-trained middle seed pings the lids and leads off the second bend, it's then catch me if you can down the back straight. Four-bend debutant Royston Rubble (T6) is worth noting in the market.

The money is sharp at Henlow, major support should be noted. Lightly raced railer Sister Peg (T2) is another to keep an eye on. She’s yet to break her maiden tag, but this is a very winnable A7 graded race and one that she’s more than capable of taking. Crying Old Karen (T1) stays on well and could be worth including in forecast bets if sent off at fancy prices.
