1 pt 18:04 Suffolk Downs – Magical Sophia (T4) @ SP
All eyes on Suffolk Downs this evening for a ten-race card featuring eight open races. At 18:04 look out for the Jason Ray-trained runner MAGICAL SOPHIA who lines up from T4. The March 21 daughter of Droopys Biker isn’t getting younger, but she’s holding her form well with plenty of placed efforts in recent weeks over two and four-bends. Tonight, in a race lacking early pace over the four-bend 388-metre trip, Magical Sophia has a chance to lead round.
Once on the bunny, she’s capable of clocking around the 24.85 mark and a repeat of that would make her very hard to beat. How Ye Laci can chase the selection home from T3. She’s yet to win at Suffolk Downs with a zero from fourteen grade since moving over from Yarmouth, so she looks the ideal forecast mixer. Blackrose Niko (T5) is another in with a live chance in a very open graded race to get the action underway at Suffolk Downs.

1 pt 18:39 Suffolk Downs – Laugh Alot (T4) @ SP
At 18:39 all eyes will be on LAUGH ALOT as the Jane Craske-trained middle seed looks to make it six on the bounce over course and distance. Recent 23.67 and 23.57 wins over this four-bend 388-metre trip read well, and with a smart break Laugh Alot can bolt up again this evening and land the double hat-trick. The Michelle Brown-trained wide seed Golden Ace must be sick of the sight of Laugh Alot with five placed efforts behind that rival in as many weeks.
She rates as the main danger from T6. Savana Cosmic is an interesting runner from T2. Better known as a six-bend performer, the strong staying railer could be the value angle for those looking at forecast options in the race. Maggie Bombastic (T1) has won three on the bounce with wins in A3 and D2 grade in recent weeks. This is a step-up in class, but she has a chance with a ping break.

1 pt 19:14 Suffolk Downs – Capel Icon (T1) @ SP
The third and final selection from Suffolk Downs this evening is well-drawn railer CAPEL ICON who runs from T1 in the Maiden Standard open race at 19:14 over the 388-metre trip. The Anthony Gifkins-trained November 2023 daughter of Kilara Icon looks plotted up with a vacant box on her outside and Capel Cutie (T3) not the quickest into stride. Although yet to win in six attempts at Suffolk Downs, Capel Icon has run well in defeat with two second-placed runs on her card in 24.34 and 24.04.
Tonight, it's all about taking advantage of this draw and turning on the tail of potential leader Moaning Mai Tai who runs from T6. Harlow raider Moaning Mai Tai has some solid sprint form around her home track, but this 388-metre trip will make her vulnerable late on, if Capel Icon turns second its race on. Capel Cutie (T3) will be flying home and can grab the forecast spot late on.
