Tuesday Greyhound tips: Goldcash Prince can make it Purple Rain

1 pt 18:04 Suffolk Downs – Goldcash Prince (T5) @ SP

All eyes on Suffolk Downs this evening for an ultra-competitive card featuring ten open races. At 18:04 in the Suffolk Downs Puppy open over the four-bend 338 metre trip look out for GOLDCASH PRINCE from T5. The Michelle Brown-trained middle seed caught the eye when making all over course and distance in mid-January, clocking 23.78 following a smart 4.60 sectional.

Since then, the March 2024 son of Grangview Ten was highly tried in the Category One Arena Racing Company Northern Puppy Derby heats at Newcastle but was eliminated in the first round. Now back in calmer waters, Goldcash Prince looks a play. If he traps well and leads round, he will prove hard to beat. Kennelmate Essex Crazy (T1) rates as the main danger. Roseville Chic (T2) will be staying on well and could fill the forecast spot at fancy prices.

1 pt 19:14 Suffolk Downs – Tomahawk (T1) @ SP

The Suffolk Downs Standard at 19:14 can go to well-drawn early-paced railer TOMAHAWK in T1. The Michelle Brown-trained April 2023 whelp is a class act when he gets it right at the boxes as he showed during January with victories in 23.79 and 23.64. The key this evening is the break. It’s imperative that Tomahawk traps well and holds the rails, do that, and its race on.

Moaning Gentile (T4) won well over course and distance last time out and could attract support from T4, he’s worth noting in the market. Westfield Vicky (T6) was showing plenty of early zip back in December. Since then, she’s not led round but has run with credit over four and six-bends at Suffolk Downs. If the Jason Smith-trained wide seed traps well, she’s more than capable of taking this and returning to winning ways for her connections.

1 pt 19:31 Suffolk Downs – New Ground (T2) @ SP

The third and final selection at Suffolk Downs this evening is Jane Craske-trained middle seed NEW GROUND who runs from T2 in the Maiden Stayers open race at 19:31 over the six-bend 548-metre trip. Last time out, the January 2024 son of Grangeview Ten turned last and showed excellent middle gears to finish second over course and distance. Tonight, if New Ground can turn handy, he can make his move and hit the front by the fifth bend and power clear of the chasing pack.

The key is a clear run; if he avoids serious trouble, New Ground will prove hard to beat. Some Guy Ty (T6) has flown round in recent weeks, clocking 23.90 and 23.89 over the four-bend 388-metre trip. Tonight, the wide seed makes his six-bend debut and is worth noting in the market. Lightly raced Mallogs Freddie (T3) is another worth noting. Since moving over the Irish Sea from Clonmel, the June 2023 son of Mallogs Marley has only run a handful of times, and we’re yet to see the best of him.
