Wednesday Greyhound Tips: Three picks from competitive 12-race card at Romford

1 pt 18:53 Romford – Absolute Rocket (T6) @ SP

Three from Romford this evening on an ultra-competitive 12-race card from the London Road circuit. At 18:53 look out for well-drawn wide seed ABSOLUTE ROCKET, who runs from T6.

The Dean Childs-trained September 2023 son of Ballymac Bolger returned to action recently following a lay-off from late November 2025. Three runs over course and distance would have blown away the cobwebs and the solo wide seed should be spot on and ready to win this evening.

The key is the break and run into the first bend, trap well and its race on. Xero Kim (T2) looks well-drawn to clear Tibby (T1) at lid rise and grab the rails and rates as the main danger. Sparkling Millie (T3) caught the eye in defeat last week when challenging late on and would be a danger to all if within striking distance off the final bend. Catunda Koda (T4) is lightly raced and open to improvement, she's worth noting in the market.

The A11 graded race at 20:36 over the four-bend 400-metre trip at Romford can go to UNDERGROUND JESS in T3.

The Paul Young-trained youngster caught the eye on debut over course and distance last week, showing nice back straight pace and staying on well. Tonight, in a race lacking early pace, Underground Jess could turn with the leaders and if that happens, she can hit the front by the third bend and power clear of the chasing pack.

High St Jet (T6) was A8 grade at the turn of the year. In recent months he’s won two of his last twelve and would be a runner this evening if he pops out and leads wide. Conans Jade (T1) will be staying on well and is worth including in forecast bets. Debutants Pupi Chulo (T2) and False Time (T5) are worth noting in the market.

The third and final selection from Romford this evening is TOO SPICY, who lines up from T4 in the Chatham Town Fc Sweepstakes final at 20:54.

The Bernie Doyle-trained October 2023 daughter of Magical Bale has won four on the bounce in recent weeks including a quick-away-made-all success over course and distance last week clocking 24.22 following a 3.68 sectional.

Too Spicy went 22 spots quicker the week before that with 24.00 recorded as the winning time. Tonight, it's all eyes on the break. If she brings her trapping boots again and leads round Too Spicy could prove too hot to handle. Broadway Steel (T5) is a consistent open race performer around Romford and rates as the main danger. Velvet Rolo (T3) is in flying form with four wins in his last five races. He would be a runner danger with a level break.
