Saturday Greyhound Tips: We look to continue hot streak!

Michael casts his expert eye over Saturday's runners - and it's worth reflecting that two of yesterday's three selections obliged, making that four from his last five. Prices haven't been too shabby either - 11/4, 9/4, 9/4 & 2/1. That's top tipping by any metric.

1 pt 18:11 Doncaster – Makeit Whisper (T6) @ SP

Today, we head to Doncaster with three selections on an ultra-competitive graded race. At 18:11 MAKEIT WHISPER looks well-drawn as the solo wide seed in the race and with a smart exit the Ricky Overton-trained former Towcester-based runner can lead round and make all.

On Doncaster debut last week, Makeit Whisper won by one and a half lengths in 17.38. That was his first competitive run in three weeks, and he should come on for that, and with further improvement on the clock possible he could prove very hard to beat in this D3 two-bend graded race.

Cockneys Elsa looks well-drawn with a vacant box on her inside and rates as the main danger from T2.

1 pt 19:04 Doncaster – Swift Jeromo (T2) @ SP

The B2 graded race at 19:04 over the four-bend 450-metre trip can go to railer SWIFT JEROMO in T2. The James Gaskin-trained August 2022 son Broadstrand Bono returns to action this evening following a four-week layoff.

Prior to the spell off the track, Swift Jeromo ran well in B1, A2 and A1 races. This represents a slight ease in grade from the Racing Manager and it's one that Swift Jeromo can take advantage of. The key is the break. Jeromo needs to clear Kelseys Chancer (T1) at lid rise and hit the back straight a couple clear. Do that, and he can add to his impressive two from two record in the grade.

Devista (T6) has only run twice at Doncaster following a move from Sheffield. The wide seed bolted up last time out and would be a danger to all with a ping break.

1 pt 19:42 Doncaster – Ballymac Brett (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection at Doncaster this evening is early-paced railer BALLYMAC BRETT who runs from T1 in the D3 graded race at 19:42. The Susan Watson-trained June 2022 son of Ballymac Kingdom returned to action recently following a spell off the track lame.

On February 1, Ballymac Brett bolted up, clocking 17.34 over course and distance and was then promoted to D2 next time out but missed the break and finished fourth. Tonight, following an ease back into D3 company, Brett looks a play, and he will prove very hard to beat if he brings his trapping boots.

Cockneychampagne (T2) is often there or thereabouts at the finish in this company and rates as the danger. The Samantha Lapidge-trained railer could also be worth including in forecast bets. Links Gloria (T3) has an impressive eleven from thirty-four record in the grade and is worth noting in the market.
