Three from Suffolk Downs this evening on an ultra-competitive graded card. At 18:56 WESTFIELD TIGRIS looks well-drawn in T1 to lead round and make all in the A8 graded race over the four-bend 388-metre trip. The Jason Smith-trained railer has a 24.54 quick-away-made-all success on her card and a repeat of that would see Tigris bolt up this evening. The key is the break and run into the first corner.

It's imperative that Tigris holds her pitch and hits the back straight a couple clear. Swanley Diaz rates as the danger from T4. Although she has yet to win in nine attempts, she has shown enough pace to take a race like this granted a clear run. Lightly raced wide seed Savana Pepper is worth noting in the market. He’s only run once over this trip and is open to improvement. Major support would hint that a big run is expected.

The D4 graded sprint at 19:31 over the two-bend 220-metre trip can go to well-drawn railer OLWINN AGAIN from T2. A vacant box on his inside strengthens the claims of the Jason Ray-trained September 2023 son of Lenson Bocko and with a smart exit he can make all. Since moving to Suffolk Downs from Oxford, Olwinn Again has had two competitive races, finishing fourth and third.

Those runs would have blown away the cobwebs following a ten-week layoff, and he should be spot on and ready to return to winning ways this evening. Kennelmate Savana Flame rates as the danger from T5. Lightly raced in recent months, the June 2023 daughter of Droopys Jet would be a huge runner if she brings her trapping boots. Solo wide seed Shrewd Mac (T6) returns to action following a spell off lame, and he’s another in with a live chance in a competitive race.

The third and final selection at Suffolk Downs this evening is the Nina Shine-trained railer ASTUTE HERO who runs from T3 in the A6 graded race at 20:09. In a race lacking early pace, the former Harlow-based runner looks well-drawn to get on the bunny. If that happens, it’ll take a good one to back run him. Astute Hero returns to action this evening following a layoff from December 29.

A recent 14.32 two-bend trial suggests all is well and the former A5 runner looks well in with the Racing Manager dropping Astute Hero into A6 company. Sleek Bono (T4) will be staying on well. Although approaching veteran stage, the June 2021 son of Broadstrand Bono is still more than capable of mixing it in this type of company, and he could be worth including in forecast bets. Swift Jordana (T5) is better known as a six-bend performer and is another who will be staying on well off the final bend.
