Monday Greyhound Tips: Man the Torpedoes for a Harlow fancy

 Oxford and Harlow are on the docket this Monday as we check in with our Greyhound tipster Michael Smyth (bettingjungle on X). There are a trio of picks for you to peruse as the week kicks off.

Below are his Monday Greyhound Tips, alongside an explanation of his three selections.

Today's Greyhound Odds

1 pt 18:29 Harlow – Tapa Torpedo (T1) @ SP

Two from three yesterday with Moanteen Pudding and Four Over both winning well at Star Pelaw. Today, we head to Harlow and Oxford with three more selections for Betfred Insight readers. At 18:29 look out for well-drawn railer TAPA TORPEDO who lines up from T1 in the D5 graded sprint race at Harlow. The lightly raced November 2023 daughter of Ballymac Cashout found life tough in D4 last time out when beaten over four lengths.

This evening, Tapa Torpedo drops back into D5, and looks like an excellent opportunity for her with plenty of rivals out of form. Trap well, hold the rails and Torpedo can lead round and make all. Alno Sue (T5) is worth noting in the market. She returns to action this evening following a spell off since mid-November. Sue was a consistent D4 performer prior to her break so would be a danger here if fully tuned up. Market support should be noted.

1 pt 19:24 Harlow – Coolemore Azzabi (T2) @ SP

A little later on, look out for the Brian Copper-trained railer COOLEMORE AZZABI who runs from T2 in the A5 graded race at 19:24 over the four-bend 415-metre distance at Harlow. In recent weeks, Azzabi has won two from three, both times winning from off the pace, leading at the third bend on one occasion and at the winning line on the other.

Tonight, it's all eyes on the break. If Azzabi can clear Lisnakill Oxo (T1) at lid rise and turn with Rapdio Aria (T6) it’s race on down the back straight. Solo wide seed Rapido Aria was a winning machine during the summer months, recording seven on the bounce, if she brings her trapping boots, she would be a danger to all. Blitz Hurricane (T3) is a consistent course and distance performer with a six in twenty-four record in the grade. She could be worth including in forecast bets if sent off at fancy prices.

2 pt 19:51 Oxford – Bonita Moon (T4) @ SP

Over at Oxford, BONITA MOON looks well-drawn to lead round and make all in the BetGoodwin Standard open race at 19:51 over the four-bend 450-metre trip. The lightly raced Kevin Hutton-trained youngster has caught the eye in recent weeks, showing plenty of pace but also finding plenty of trouble in her races. Today, this is all about the break and run into the first bend.

If the March 2024 daughter of Good News traps in best fashion, she can lead round and kick for home down the back straight. A repeat of the recent 27.37 clock should see Bonita Moon take this. Kennelmate Sister Lizzie rates as the danger from T3. Maree Master (T5) is a consistent A2 and A3 performer around Oxford and stays this trip strong. The solo wide seed looks well-drawn and is worth including in forecast bets.
