Wednesday Greyhound Tips: Swear to me, Crystal Bale

All eyes on Doncaster, with the famous track offering a gleesome threesome of tips for your midweek enjoyment. Our resident greyhound tipster Michael Smyth (bettingjungle on X) is on hand with the Daily Greyhound Tips.

1 pt 15:29 Doncaster – Rapido Ana (T2) @ SP

Two from three yesterday with Farneys Tearaway and Savana Sprite both winning in impressive fashion at Suffolk Downs. Today we head to Doncaster with three selections on an ultra-competitive all graded card. At 15:29 look out for RAPIDO ANA who lines up from T2 in the A2 graded race over the four-bend 483-metre trip at the Yorkshire venue. The Martin Haythorne-trained railer bolted up over course and distance last time out, clocking 29.96 following a smart 4.23 sectional.

If the November 2022 daughter of Kinloch Brae traps well and holds her rails pitch into the corner, she can lead round and win again. Cockney Charlie (T4) chased home the selection on January 31, and rates as the main danger. Ballymac Alexis (T6) is a consistent A2 performer with a twenty percent strike rate in the grade. She would be a huge runner with a ping break.

1 pt 16:07 Doncaster – Telex Empress (T4) @ SP

One of the key lines of form worth keeping an eye on is season dates. One today who has caught the eye is TELEX EMPRESS, who lines up from T5 in the B6 graded race at 16:07. The March 2024 youngster broke into season on November 25 and has recently returned to action. Telex Empress is now 11 weeks out of season, so she will be hitting peak fitness and form over the next few weeks with 14 to 16 weeks often seen as the sweet spot.

Prior to the layoff, Telex Empress was running well in B5 and B6 company and, once fully tuned up, she can start working her way through the grades again. Abigail Surprise is an interesting runner in T2. The early-paced railer makes her competitive four-bend debut this afternoon following over thirty runs over the two-bend 275-metre trip. This distance is an unknown, so major market support should be noted.

1 pt 16:44 Doncaster – Crystal Bale (T4) @ SP

The third and final selection at Doncaster this afternoon is debutant CRYSTAL BALE who runs from T4 in the D3 graded sprint at 16:44 over the two-bend 275-metre distance. The Kenneth Everitt-trained December 2023 daughter of Glengar Bale flew round in 17.44 in a recent course and distance trial and, with further improvement likely, she looks a play this afternoon. As ever, over the sprint trip it's all eyes on the break.

Trap well and its race on. Cockneyalfitness (T5) is often there or thereabouts at the finish but has only won one in ten so far. Easy Stump (T6) has a one out of six record in the grade and rates the main danger. Midian Lass (T1) looks well-drawn with a vacant box on her outside and could be worth including in forecast bets.
