1 pt 18:56 Suffolk Downs – Grouchos King (T4) @ SP
All eyes on Suffolk Downs this evening for a competitive mixed card featuring four open races. At 18:56 look out for GROUCHOS KING, who lines up from T4 in the D2 graded sprint over the two-bend 220-metre trip. The Paul Rea-trained October 2022 son of Confident Rankin caught the eye last time out when finishing second over course and distance in 13.84. That was Grouchos King’s first run in four weeks, so he will come on for that outing and if he brings his trapping boots he will prove hard to beat this evening.
As ever, the break and run into the first bend will be the key to this sprint race. Grouchos King can’t afford a tardy exit in a competitive graded race. Wishful Decko is two from six in this grade, he rates as the main danger from T3. Maggie Bombastic (T1) looks well-drawn on the rails and could be worth including in forecast bets if sent off at fancy prices.

1 pt 19:51 Suffolk Downs – Laugh Alot (T3) @ SP
Draws win races and LAUGH ALOT (T3) has a cracker to work from in the Suffolk Downs Standard open race at 19:51 over the four-bend 388-metre trip. The Jane Craske-trained middle seed has a vacant box on her immediate inside in T2 and Savana Robbie slow away in T1. A winner of four on the bounce, Laugh Alot is clearly in fine form at the moment with 23.80, 23.79, and two 23.57 wins over course and distance in recent weeks.
The key to the race is the break. It's imperative that Laugh Alot pings the lids and leads round. Once on the bunny, she will prove hard to beat. Bucking Bucks (T5) is another in form with two wins from his last four runs. The Michelle Brown-trained Towcester raider is another who will be looking to lead round so this race is all about what happens at the boxes. Savana Robbie (T1) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast bets at decent odds.

1 pt 20:09 Suffolk Downs – Miss Direct (T2)
The third and final selection from Suffolk Downs is well-drawn middle seed MISS DIRECT, who lines up from T2 in the duplicate Suffolk Downs Standard open at 20:09. The Michelle Brown-trained July 2023 daughter of Ballymac Cashout has a chance to clear Razldazl Minty (T1) at lid rise and if that happens, its race on.
Kennelmate Goldcash Prince (T3) could be the main challenger into the corner, but with that rival drawn on the outside of Miss Direct she can hold Goldcash Prince into the corner and kick for home off the second bend. Rileys Daughter (T6) looks well-drawn as the solo wide seed in the race and is worth noting in the market. An impressive winner in 24.19 over course and distance last time out she could attract support from what looks a favourable draw.
