Monday Greyhound Tips: A delightful docket from Doncaster

Doncaster is where we start our week, with the famous track providing a trio of tips for today. Our resident greyhound tipster Michael Smyth (bettingjungle on X) is locked in with the Daily Greyhound Tips.

1 pt 15:29 Doncaster – Vinegarhill Kurn (T1) @ SP

All eyes on Doncaster this afternoon with twelve graded races taking place at the Yorkshire venue. At 15:29 look out for well-drawn railer VINEGARHILL KURN, who lines up from T1 in the B3 graded race over the four-bend 450-metre trip. The November 2023 son of Ballymac Cashout returned to action last week following a fall on December 1. That course and distance run would have blown away the cobwebs and Vinegarhill Kurn should be spot on and ready to win this afternoon.

Prior to the layoff, the early paced railer was mixing it in B2 company and clocking around the 28.20 mark consistently, a repeat of that would see him take this. Natural Clover (T6) is worth noting in the market. The wide seed broke into season in October and has also recently returned to competitive action. She’s a decent performer when fully tuned up and major market support would hint that a big run is expected.

1 pt 15:49 Doncaster – Zari Hunter (T3) @ SP

The B4 graded race at 15:49 can go to ZARI HUNTER from T3. The March 2022 son of Broadstrand Bono looks well-drawn with Calgary Flyer (T1) not the quickest into stride and a vacant box in T2. Gizmo Balhoo (T4) is also likely to edge off at trap rise and Zari Hunter has an excellent chance of leading rails to middle. The selection is strong over this trip. If he traps well and leads off the second bend, it’ll take a good one to back run him.

As ever, the key to the race is the break. Zari Hunter needs to trap well and take advantage of this plot draw. Moss Tang Sally (T5) is zero from thirteen in the grade but is often there or thereabouts at the finish. She could be worth including in forecast bets if sent off at fancy prices. Redbrick Nuke (T6) is lightly raced and improving with each run. The wide seed could attract support and is worth noting in the market.

1 pt 16:44 Doncaster – Droopys Glam (T4) @ SP

The third and final selection from Doncaster this afternoon is the Philip Milner-trained wide seed DROOPYS GLAM who runs from T4 in the B1 graded race at 16:44. The October 2022 daughter of Droopys Sydney is a class act with top grade and open race wins on her card. Today, with a smart break, she can lead round and, once on the bunny, a repeat of one of her sub 28 second runs should see Droopys Glam take this. Clonoon Ansar (T6) is a little inconsistent at the boxes but is a pacey wide seed when he gets it right.

He rates as a huge danger. Redbrick Rooney (T2) bolted up in B2 company last time out and is likely to prove popular in the market with a vacant box on his inside. Ballinderry Luna (T3) will be staying on along with Miller Spirit (T5), both are decent forecast mixers in an ultra-competitive race.
